Clinical Pillar — ART / IRT

Autonomic Response Testing — what ART actually does

Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt's most cited — and most misunderstood — clinical method. The honest read: what ART reads, what it can't, and how we use it inside Integrative You to sequence complex chronic cases when standard labs run out of road.

    What ART actually is

Autonomic Response Testing — usually abbreviated ART — is a refined form of bio-energetic muscle testing that reads the autonomic nervous system's response to specific stimuli: substances, organs, frequencies, emotional charges, interference fields. It was developed by Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt over four decades of integrative practice.

ART doesn't replace labs. It sequences them. The question ART answers isn't "what's wrong?" — it's "what does this nervous system need first, second, third, so the protocol actually lands?"

That sequencing question is exactly where most functional-medicine protocols fail in complex chronic cases — and exactly where Klinghardt's framework earns its place.

    ART, IRT, and our extension

    ART — Klinghardt's original

The canonical method. Reads the autonomic nervous system through a tested-reflex loop. Foundation of every Klinghardt-trained practice. Still the gold standard for biotoxin sequencing, interference-field detection, and limbic mapping.

    IRT — Integrative Response Testing

Dr. Nick's extension of ART that adds matrix-field and quantum layers on top of the autonomic readout — used inside Private Concierge for the cases that didn't fully resolve on the standard 5-layer protocol.

You don't need to find an ART practitioner.

ART-informed sequencing is built into every Integrative You program. Foundation handles most cases. Complex multi-level cases route to Concierge with live IRT sessions.
