Rheumatoid arthritis isn't just a joint issue; it's a complex autoimmune condition often misunderstood and inadequately addressed by conventional methods. This BSB webinar challenges the notion that its origins are unknown and that immunosuppressants are the only path. We dive deep into the true aggravators of RA and chronic pain, revealing how factors like past infections, toxicity, and even emotional trauma create a snowball effect leading to inflammation. Discover why a one-size-fits-all diagnosis masks individual root causes and why standard testing often falls short. Learn to identify the underlying drivers of your pain, moving beyond superficial symptoms to uncover the foundational issues that truly demand attention for lasting relief.

    What you'll learn

    • Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune condition with diverse root causes.
    • Standard RA diagnosis often overlooks individual underlying triggers.
    • Chronic pain stems from infections, stress, toxicity, and trauma.
    • Integrative medicine focuses on the whole person, not just symptoms.
    • Better testing reveals specific root causes for personalized healing.

And today specifically, pain disorders. And today specifically, we're going to be talking and diving we're going to be talking and diving we're going to be talking and diving into a little bit more about rheumatoid into a little bit more about rheumatoid into a little bit more about rheumatoid arthritis. And rheumatoid arthritis is arthritis. And rheumatoid arthritis is arthritis. And rheumatoid arthritis is one of these conditions that is one of these conditions that is one of these conditions that is classified as an autoimmune condition. classified as an autoimmune condition. classified as an autoimmune condition. It is unfortunately very very common It is unfortunately very very common It is unfortunately very very common nowadays. And it is often being talked nowadays. And it is often being talked nowadays. And it is often being talked about in the sense that we don't really about in the sense that we don't really about in the sense that we don't really know why it manifests and there is no know why it manifests and there is no know why it manifests and there is no cure and there is not necessarily much cure and there is not necessarily much cure and there is not necessarily much that we can do about it um outside of that we can do about it um outside of that we can do about it um outside of taking something that is classified as taking something that is classified as taking something that is classified as an amunosuppressant. an amunosuppressant. an amunosuppressant. So with that being said as I talk more So with that being said as I talk more So with that being said as I talk more about some very specific case studies about some very specific case studies about some very specific case studies tonight that when it comes to rheumatoid tonight that when it comes to rheumatoid tonight that when it comes to rheumatoid arthritis I'm also going to be talking arthritis I'm also going to be talking arthritis I'm also going to be talking about pain as a whole. And this is in about pain as a whole. And this is in about pain as a whole. And this is in reference to conditions like reference to conditions like reference to conditions like fibromyalgia, fibromyalgia, fibromyalgia, chronic low back pain, um other types of chronic low back pain, um other types of chronic low back pain, um other types of inflammatory joint conditions. So this inflammatory joint conditions. So this inflammatory joint conditions. So this is not necessarily just for people that is not necessarily just for people that is not necessarily just for people that are dealing with rheumatoid arthritis. are dealing with rheumatoid arthritis. are dealing with rheumatoid arthritis. You definitely are going to walk away You definitely are going to walk away You definitely are going to walk away with some very significant clarity about with some very significant clarity about with some very significant clarity about rheumatoid, why it manifests, and some rheumatoid, why it manifests, and some rheumatoid, why it manifests, and some things that you can obviously do about things that you can obviously do about things that you can obviously do about it and even better testing that you can it and even better testing that you can it and even better testing that you can acquire to understand your condition acquire to understand your condition acquire to understand your condition better. But we also will be diving into better. But we also will be diving into better. But we also will be diving into a variety of different reasons why pain a variety of different reasons why pain a variety of different reasons why pain exists in the first place and also the exists in the first place and also the exists in the first place and also the reason why a lot of different physicians reason why a lot of different physicians reason why a lot of different physicians and medicine is running into roadblocks and medicine is running into roadblocks and medicine is running into roadblocks when it comes to how do we actually fix when it comes to how do we actually fix when it comes to how do we actually fix this? How do we actually get better, this? How do we actually get better, this? How do we actually get better, especially if we're opting out of especially if we're opting out of especially if we're opting out of necessarily going down the road of necessarily going down the road of necessarily going down the road of painkillers, muscle relaxers, and and painkillers, muscle relaxers, and and painkillers, muscle relaxers, and and surgery? Because if we opt out of that, surgery? Because if we opt out of that, surgery? Because if we opt out of that, a lot of us feel very stuck and we feel a lot of us feel very stuck and we feel a lot of us feel very stuck and we feel very scared because we don't know what very scared because we don't know what very scared because we don't know what else is out there for us and we don't else is out there for us and we don't else is out there for us and we don't know what else to do. And I know that know what else to do. And I know that know what else to do. And I know that when it comes to pain, some people do when it comes to pain, some people do when it comes to pain, some people do opt for more physical type therapies. opt for more physical type therapies. opt for more physical type therapies. So, I'm going to be talking a little bit So, I'm going to be talking a little bit So, I'm going to be talking a little bit more about physical type therapies if more about physical type therapies if more about physical type therapies if that's physical therapy, massage, that's physical therapy, massage, that's physical therapy, massage, chiropractic, um, orthopedic surgery, chiropractic, um, orthopedic surgery, chiropractic, um, orthopedic surgery, but it's really helping you guys to walk but it's really helping you guys to walk but it's really helping you guys to walk away with understanding, is my pain away with understanding, is my pain away with understanding, is my pain actually physical? Is my pain from actually physical? Is my pain from actually physical? Is my pain from stress? Is my pain from toxicity? Is my stress? Is my pain from toxicity? Is my stress? Is my pain from toxicity? Is my pain from infections? And I think that pain from infections? And I think that pain from infections? And I think that that's probably one of the most uh that's probably one of the most uh that's probably one of the most uh fascinating pieces is understanding how fascinating pieces is understanding how fascinating pieces is understanding how different types of infections that we different types of infections that we different types of infections that we could have even had in childhood that could have even had in childhood that could have even had in childhood that can linger in the body and cause us to can linger in the body and cause us to can linger in the body and cause us to have chronic pain or even develop these have chronic pain or even develop these have chronic pain or even develop these inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis. So for those of you either on arthritis. So for those of you either on arthritis. So for those of you either on the webinar or on the Instagram live, the webinar or on the Instagram live, the webinar or on the Instagram live, definitely feel free to pop in definitely feel free to pop in definitely feel free to pop in questions. Um you can pop them into the questions. Um you can pop them into the questions. Um you can pop them into the comments or pop them into the chat box. comments or pop them into the chat box. comments or pop them into the chat box. I'm going to be doing a live Q&A. If I'm going to be doing a live Q&A. If I'm going to be doing a live Q&A. If there is something that pops up that I there is something that pops up that I there is something that pops up that I see in the in the question area that is see in the in the question area that is see in the in the question area that is really re relevant to what I'm talking really re relevant to what I'm talking really re relevant to what I'm talking about, I'm definitely happy to kind of about, I'm definitely happy to kind of about, I'm definitely happy to kind of dive in and and answer that question on dive in and and answer that question on dive in and and answer that question on the spot. So, definitely feel free to the spot. So, definitely feel free to the spot. So, definitely feel free to engage because it's really great because engage because it's really great because engage because it's really great because I want to know I want to make sure that I want to know I want to make sure that I want to know I want to make sure that I'm touching on what you guys want to I'm touching on what you guys want to I'm touching on what you guys want to know. So, that's what this is all about know. So, that's what this is all about know. So, that's what this is all about is for you to be able to walk away with is for you to be able to walk away with is for you to be able to walk away with information and walk away with tools and information and walk away with tools and information and walk away with tools and strategies to start your your healing strategies to start your your healing strategies to start your your healing journey. journey. journey. Okay. So, for those of you that are Okay. So, for those of you that are Okay. So, for those of you that are actually on my webinar, I am going to actually on my webinar, I am going to actually on my webinar, I am going to utilize my PowerPoint presentation just utilize my PowerPoint presentation just utilize my PowerPoint presentation just because I will go off on tangents. So, because I will go off on tangents. So, because I will go off on tangents. So, um with that being said, I just want to um with that being said, I just want to um with that being said, I just want to kind of reiterate. So, tonight we are kind of reiterate. So, tonight we are kind of reiterate. So, tonight we are going to be talking about rheumatoid going to be talking about rheumatoid going to be talking about rheumatoid arthritis. I'm going to go through some arthritis. I'm going to go through some arthritis. I'm going to go through some really, really interesting case studies really, really interesting case studies really, really interesting case studies about different rheumatoid cases that about different rheumatoid cases that about different rheumatoid cases that we've dealt with that they technically we've dealt with that they technically we've dealt with that they technically came in with the same diagnosis, but came in with the same diagnosis, but came in with the same diagnosis, but their root cause was completely their root cause was completely their root cause was completely different. And I think this is really different. And I think this is really different. And I think this is really huge for you guys to understand is that huge for you guys to understand is that huge for you guys to understand is that it's very unlikely that you could it's very unlikely that you could it's very unlikely that you could potentially have the same symptoms as potentially have the same symptoms as potentially have the same symptoms as someone else or the same diagnosis as someone else or the same diagnosis as someone else or the same diagnosis as someone else, but it's very unlikely someone else, but it's very unlikely someone else, but it's very unlikely that you actually have the same root that you actually have the same root that you actually have the same root cause. So in addition to that, we're cause. So in addition to that, we're cause. So in addition to that, we're going to understand a little bit more going to understand a little bit more going to understand a little bit more about the limitations of the testing about the limitations of the testing about the limitations of the testing that exists when we're trying to figure that exists when we're trying to figure that exists when we're trying to figure out where our pain is coming from. And out where our pain is coming from. And out where our pain is coming from. And then we're also going to talk more about then we're also going to talk more about then we're also going to talk more about what are the different strategies once what are the different strategies once what are the different strategies once we get that clarity on where the pain is we get that clarity on where the pain is we get that clarity on where the pain is stemming from of what can we actually do stemming from of what can we actually do stemming from of what can we actually do about it to start getting better. about it to start getting better. about it to start getting better. So before I dive into the topic, So before I dive into the topic, So before I dive into the topic, [clears throat] just to understand a [clears throat] just to understand a [clears throat] just to understand a little bit about myself, understand a little bit about myself, understand a little bit about myself, understand a little bit about my practice, and just little bit about my practice, and just little bit about my practice, and just kind of understand the premise of the kind of understand the premise of the kind of understand the premise of the foundation of what I'm talking about foundation of what I'm talking about foundation of what I'm talking about tonight. Because a lot of you that are tonight. Because a lot of you that are tonight. Because a lot of you that are listening might be brand new to this listening might be brand new to this listening might be brand new to this world of functional and integrative world of functional and integrative world of functional and integrative medicine. And don't get me wrong, medicine. And don't get me wrong, medicine. And don't get me wrong, functional medicine and integrative functional medicine and integrative functional medicine and integrative medicine are different things, but I medicine are different things, but I medicine are different things, but I know that a lot more people are in tune know that a lot more people are in tune know that a lot more people are in tune with that term, functional medicine. So with that term, functional medicine. So with that term, functional medicine. So just to clarify the difference, I used just to clarify the difference, I used just to clarify the difference, I used to do more functional medicine and what to do more functional medicine and what to do more functional medicine and what I mean by that is I used to focus more I mean by that is I used to focus more I mean by that is I used to focus more on using a lot of different types of lab on using a lot of different types of lab on using a lot of different types of lab testing, taking that information and testing, taking that information and testing, taking that information and putting together a customized supplement putting together a customized supplement putting together a customized supplement and dietary protocol. And what I and dietary protocol. And what I and dietary protocol. And what I realized, especially when we're dealing realized, especially when we're dealing realized, especially when we're dealing with chronic pain and inflammation, is with chronic pain and inflammation, is with chronic pain and inflammation, is sometimes diet and supplements don't cut sometimes diet and supplements don't cut sometimes diet and supplements don't cut it. And also most of the people that I it. And also most of the people that I it. And also most of the people that I work with have already been down that work with have already been down that work with have already been down that road. So for me to just give them a road. So for me to just give them a road. So for me to just give them a different version of supplements and a different version of supplements and a different version of supplements and a different diet, that's not really going different diet, that's not really going different diet, that's not really going to work. So my practice has evolved into to work. So my practice has evolved into to work. So my practice has evolved into becoming something called integrative becoming something called integrative becoming something called integrative medicine. And what this means is we dig medicine. And what this means is we dig medicine. And what this means is we dig deeper. We ask more questions. We deeper. We ask more questions. We deeper. We ask more questions. We understand every single aspect of the understand every single aspect of the understand every single aspect of the timeline that led you to where you are timeline that led you to where you are timeline that led you to where you are at now. and led you to the symptoms that at now. and led you to the symptoms that at now. and led you to the symptoms that you have or led you to the diagnosis you have or led you to the diagnosis you have or led you to the diagnosis that you have. So, this is talking about that you have. So, this is talking about that you have. So, this is talking about your birthing process all the way to your birthing process all the way to your birthing process all the way to your childhood illnesses. Talking about your childhood illnesses. Talking about your childhood illnesses. Talking about your emotional traumas, talking about um your emotional traumas, talking about um your emotional traumas, talking about um you know what kind of work that you do. you know what kind of work that you do. you know what kind of work that you do. There are so many factors that have to There are so many factors that have to There are so many factors that have to be considered to understand the snowball be considered to understand the snowball be considered to understand the snowball effect that got you to where you are effect that got you to where you are effect that got you to where you are today, which can be something like today, which can be something like today, which can be something like rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, or rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, or rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, or some other type of chronic pain some other type of chronic pain some other type of chronic pain syndrome. So when we got into this syndrome. So when we got into this syndrome. So when we got into this field, we were always asking more field, we were always asking more field, we were always asking more questions and always trying to fill the questions and always trying to fill the questions and always trying to fill the voids of what we saw with our patients. voids of what we saw with our patients. voids of what we saw with our patients. And that's what took us down this road And that's what took us down this road And that's what took us down this road of integrative medicine. And me being an of integrative medicine. And me being an of integrative medicine. And me being an integrated practitioner, you know, if integrated practitioner, you know, if integrated practitioner, you know, if you go on our website or if you're on you go on our website or if you're on you go on our website or if you're on the webinar, I work with so many the webinar, I work with so many the webinar, I work with so many different demographics. And sometimes different demographics. And sometimes different demographics. And sometimes people are confused by that because people are confused by that because people are confused by that because we're always seeking out the expert. We we're always seeking out the expert. We we're always seeking out the expert. We always want to make sure that we're always want to make sure that we're always want to make sure that we're working with the expert in our working with the expert in our working with the expert in our condition. But honestly, I feel like condition. But honestly, I feel like condition. But honestly, I feel like that is what gets us into trouble that is what gets us into trouble that is what gets us into trouble because if you have a physician coming because if you have a physician coming because if you have a physician coming in looking at you as one system or in looking at you as one system or in looking at you as one system or there's dysfunction in one system, there's dysfunction in one system, there's dysfunction in one system, that's where the roadblocks happen when that's where the roadblocks happen when that's where the roadblocks happen when it comes to the healing process. Because it comes to the healing process. Because it comes to the healing process. Because if you look at the whole person and you if you look at the whole person and you if you look at the whole person and you look at the body as an integration of look at the body as an integration of look at the body as an integration of systems and you understand that the gut systems and you understand that the gut systems and you understand that the gut can affect the brain and the brain can can affect the brain and the brain can can affect the brain and the brain can affect the kidneys and you know there's affect the kidneys and you know there's affect the kidneys and you know there's so many things that are working together so many things that are working together so many things that are working together that's when you're really able to that's when you're really able to that's when you're really able to uncover the foundational issue, the root uncover the foundational issue, the root uncover the foundational issue, the root cause and then you're able to put cause and then you're able to put cause and then you're able to put someone on a regimen that actually fixes someone on a regimen that actually fixes someone on a regimen that actually fixes the foundation that allows a lot of the the foundation that allows a lot of the the foundation that allows a lot of the effects aka a lot of the symptoms to effects aka a lot of the symptoms to effects aka a lot of the symptoms to drop away. So, when it comes to chronic drop away. So, when it comes to chronic drop away. So, when it comes to chronic pain or if it comes to Lyme disease or pain or if it comes to Lyme disease or pain or if it comes to Lyme disease or hormonal issues, it's just a matter of hormonal issues, it's just a matter of hormonal issues, it's just a matter of doing the right testing and looking at doing the right testing and looking at doing the right testing and looking at the big picture and asking better the big picture and asking better the big picture and asking better questions. And if you take that type of questions. And if you take that type of questions. And if you take that type of approach, you can really understand the approach, you can really understand the approach, you can really understand the big picture and you also can simplify big picture and you also can simplify big picture and you also can simplify the healing process instead of thinking, the healing process instead of thinking, the healing process instead of thinking, oh, okay, we have to do a gut protocol oh, okay, we have to do a gut protocol oh, okay, we have to do a gut protocol and then we have to do an inflammatory and then we have to do an inflammatory and then we have to do an inflammatory protocol and then we have to do a protocol and then we have to do a protocol and then we have to do a rheumatoid protocol. It's not about rheumatoid protocol. It's not about rheumatoid protocol. It's not about that. It's about connecting the dots and that. It's about connecting the dots and that. It's about connecting the dots and fixing the foundation. That is the key fixing the foundation. That is the key fixing the foundation. That is the key to the healing process and that is what to the healing process and that is what to the healing process and that is what we encompass in this world of we encompass in this world of we encompass in this world of integrative medicine. So for myself, you integrative medicine. So for myself, you integrative medicine. So for myself, you know, a lot of people in my industry know, a lot of people in my industry know, a lot of people in my industry have a story about how they were really have a story about how they were really have a story about how they were really sick and they nursed themselves back to sick and they nursed themselves back to sick and they nursed themselves back to health because medicine steered them health because medicine steered them health because medicine steered them wrong. And I don't really have that wrong. And I don't really have that wrong. And I don't really have that story. And my story is actually very story. And my story is actually very story. And my story is actually very different. And I remember almost feeling different. And I remember almost feeling different. And I remember almost feeling guilty for a long time not having this guilty for a long time not having this guilty for a long time not having this story. And then what I realized is that story. And then what I realized is that story. And then what I realized is that my story and my journey is the my story and my journey is the my story and my journey is the demographic of people that I get the demographic of people that I get the demographic of people that I get the most excited about working with. And most excited about working with. And most excited about working with. And what I mean by that is I thought I was what I mean by that is I thought I was what I mean by that is I thought I was healthy and there were a lot of symptoms healthy and there were a lot of symptoms healthy and there were a lot of symptoms that I had on a day-to-day basis that that I had on a day-to-day basis that that I had on a day-to-day basis that were my normal. There was the occasional were my normal. There was the occasional were my normal. There was the occasional indigestion, the occasional indigestion, the occasional indigestion, the occasional constipation, the occasional brain fog, constipation, the occasional brain fog, constipation, the occasional brain fog, the fatigue, the occasional bad sleep. the fatigue, the occasional bad sleep. the fatigue, the occasional bad sleep. All of these things were my normal. And All of these things were my normal. And All of these things were my normal. And those list of symptoms that I just those list of symptoms that I just those list of symptoms that I just listed off, I'm sure every single one of listed off, I'm sure every single one of listed off, I'm sure every single one of you listening can relate to them to some you listening can relate to them to some you listening can relate to them to some capacity. We're all having ups and downs capacity. We're all having ups and downs capacity. We're all having ups and downs with our energy. We're all having ups with our energy. We're all having ups with our energy. We're all having ups and downs with our brain fog. We're all and downs with our brain fog. We're all and downs with our brain fog. We're all having ups and downs with how our body having ups and downs with how our body having ups and downs with how our body feels. And we blame it on aging. We feels. And we blame it on aging. We feels. And we blame it on aging. We blame it on what we ate. We blame it on blame it on what we ate. We blame it on blame it on what we ate. We blame it on our stress. We blame it on all these our stress. We blame it on all these our stress. We blame it on all these things. And I'm not saying that those things. And I'm not saying that those things. And I'm not saying that those aren't contributing factors. Yes, of aren't contributing factors. Yes, of aren't contributing factors. Yes, of course they are. But we get to a place course they are. But we get to a place course they are. But we get to a place that we normalize the way we feel that we normalize the way we feel that we normalize the way we feel because we've adapted to it. We also because we've adapted to it. We also because we've adapted to it. We also listen to everybody else around us also listen to everybody else around us also listen to everybody else around us also feeling like crap, which makes it even feeling like crap, which makes it even feeling like crap, which makes it even more normal. And then we see a more normal. And then we see a more normal. And then we see a commercial every 3 seconds advertising commercial every 3 seconds advertising commercial every 3 seconds advertising for a medication for some type of new for a medication for some type of new for a medication for some type of new autoimmune condition, new, you know, autoimmune condition, new, you know, autoimmune condition, new, you know, pain syndrome, new whatever, new new pain syndrome, new whatever, new new pain syndrome, new whatever, new new pathology. And that normalizes it even pathology. And that normalizes it even pathology. And that normalizes it even further. So, what I'm here to really further. So, what I'm here to really further. So, what I'm here to really have you understand is that a lot of the have you understand is that a lot of the have you understand is that a lot of the things you're dealing with are not things you're dealing with are not things you're dealing with are not normal. They're actually warning signs normal. They're actually warning signs normal. They're actually warning signs that your body is going in a bad that your body is going in a bad that your body is going in a bad direction. And your body is going to direction. And your body is going to direction. And your body is going to present symptoms to you to say, "Hey, present symptoms to you to say, "Hey, present symptoms to you to say, "Hey, there's something off. You need to fix there's something off. You need to fix there's something off. You need to fix me." But it's too easy to take, you me." But it's too easy to take, you me." But it's too easy to take, you know, the the Motrin or the ibuprofen or know, the the Motrin or the ibuprofen or know, the the Motrin or the ibuprofen or the painkiller. It's too easy. And it's the painkiller. It's too easy. And it's the painkiller. It's too easy. And it's no blame. It's just the way that we've no blame. It's just the way that we've no blame. It's just the way that we've all been programmed. And we need to all been programmed. And we need to all been programmed. And we need to understand that if we have pain to any understand that if we have pain to any understand that if we have pain to any capacity, there's an issue. And capacity, there's an issue. And capacity, there's an issue. And sometimes that issue is actual actual sometimes that issue is actual actual sometimes that issue is actual actual damage, trauma, tears, strains, sprains, damage, trauma, tears, strains, sprains, damage, trauma, tears, strains, sprains, and sometimes it's something beyond and sometimes it's something beyond and sometimes it's something beyond that. And that's what we're really going that. And that's what we're really going that. And that's what we're really going to talk about tonight is what are the to talk about tonight is what are the to talk about tonight is what are the things that you don't know? What are the things that you don't know? What are the things that you don't know? What are the things that nobody's talking about? So, things that nobody's talking about? So, things that nobody's talking about? So, with that being said, I noticed late in with that being said, I noticed late in with that being said, I noticed late in the evening, there are tons of things the evening, there are tons of things the evening, there are tons of things going on in our house, and you know, going on in our house, and you know, going on in our house, and you know, there's people screaming, people want to there's people screaming, people want to there's people screaming, people want to eat, you know, you need to homework, eat, you know, you need to homework, eat, you know, you need to homework, people need to get ready for the next people need to get ready for the next people need to get ready for the next day. But just give yourself the next, day. But just give yourself the next, day. But just give yourself the next, you know, 20 to 30 minutes to really you know, 20 to 30 minutes to really you know, 20 to 30 minutes to really just like hone in, be with me, and just just like hone in, be with me, and just just like hone in, be with me, and just listen in because what I'm going to talk listen in because what I'm going to talk listen in because what I'm going to talk about tonight is not your about tonight is not your about tonight is not your run-of-the-mill information. I'm not run-of-the-mill information. I'm not run-of-the-mill information. I'm not going to sit here and tell you to go on going to sit here and tell you to go on going to sit here and tell you to go on an anti-inflammatory diet. I'm not going an anti-inflammatory diet. I'm not going an anti-inflammatory diet. I'm not going to give you the magical supplement to give you the magical supplement to give you the magical supplement regimen that's going to get rid of your regimen that's going to get rid of your regimen that's going to get rid of your pain. I'm going to actually tell you pain. I'm going to actually tell you pain. I'm going to actually tell you things that nobody's talking about. I'm things that nobody's talking about. I'm things that nobody's talking about. I'm actually going to tell you things that actually going to tell you things that actually going to tell you things that you haven't heard before. So, my goal is you haven't heard before. So, my goal is you haven't heard before. So, my goal is to allow you to walk away being like, to allow you to walk away being like, to allow you to walk away being like, "Holy crap, I actually have a better "Holy crap, I actually have a better "Holy crap, I actually have a better understanding of what's going on with understanding of what's going on with understanding of what's going on with me, and I now actually know my first me, and I now actually know my first me, and I now actually know my first steps to be on the path of figuring this steps to be on the path of figuring this steps to be on the path of figuring this out and getting better." because out and getting better." because out and getting better." because unfortunately this is not the type of unfortunately this is not the type of unfortunately this is not the type of information that is available to us at information that is available to us at information that is available to us at all times. all times. all times. So first and foremost it is not your So first and foremost it is not your So first and foremost it is not your fault that you have not been able to fault that you have not been able to fault that you have not been able to figure it out yet. It is not your fault figure it out yet. It is not your fault figure it out yet. It is not your fault that you have not been able to get that you have not been able to get that you have not been able to get better on your own. It is not your fault better on your own. It is not your fault better on your own. It is not your fault that maybe you tried functional medicine that maybe you tried functional medicine that maybe you tried functional medicine and it didn't work out for you. It is and it didn't work out for you. It is and it didn't work out for you. It is not your fault that you became addicted not your fault that you became addicted not your fault that you became addicted to painkillers. None of it is your to painkillers. None of it is your to painkillers. None of it is your fault. And we are living in a world that fault. And we are living in a world that fault. And we are living in a world that has programmed us to think a certain way has programmed us to think a certain way has programmed us to think a certain way about our health. It allows us to about our health. It allows us to about our health. It allows us to normalize things that are not normal. It normalize things that are not normal. It normalize things that are not normal. It allows us to put a band-aid on things so allows us to put a band-aid on things so allows us to put a band-aid on things so we can power through and keep working we can power through and keep working we can power through and keep working and keep doing the things that we need and keep doing the things that we need and keep doing the things that we need to do to survive. And there's also if we to do to survive. And there's also if we to do to survive. And there's also if we do want to step outside of that box and do want to step outside of that box and do want to step outside of that box and we do want to dig deeper, we get we do want to dig deeper, we get we do want to dig deeper, we get paralyzed because there's so much paralyzed because there's so much paralyzed because there's so much information and we're like, I don't know information and we're like, I don't know information and we're like, I don't know what to do. I just read about paleo. I what to do. I just read about paleo. I what to do. I just read about paleo. I read about an autoimmune paleo. I read read about an autoimmune paleo. I read read about an autoimmune paleo. I read about keto. I read about, you know, about keto. I read about, you know, about keto. I read about, you know, these three supplements for these three supplements for these three supplements for inflammation. I read about these inflammation. I read about these inflammation. I read about these supplements for RA. Like, what do I do? supplements for RA. Like, what do I do? supplements for RA. Like, what do I do? And most of us just kind of like I they And most of us just kind of like I they And most of us just kind of like I they we throw our hands up and we say, "This we throw our hands up and we say, "This we throw our hands up and we say, "This is too much." So, I get it. I totally is too much." So, I get it. I totally is too much." So, I get it. I totally get it. But I want you to know that what get it. But I want you to know that what get it. But I want you to know that what your body needs is very different from your body needs is very different from your body needs is very different from someone else who has rheumatoid someone else who has rheumatoid someone else who has rheumatoid arthritis or someone else who has arthritis or someone else who has arthritis or someone else who has fibromyalgia. It's really about figuring fibromyalgia. It's really about figuring fibromyalgia. It's really about figuring out your body's needs. So, it's not just out your body's needs. So, it's not just out your body's needs. So, it's not just about knowing your diagnosis. It's also about knowing your diagnosis. It's also about knowing your diagnosis. It's also knowing the strategy that you need to knowing the strategy that you need to knowing the strategy that you need to actually get better. So, this is actually get better. So, this is actually get better. So, this is probably like the most important slide probably like the most important slide probably like the most important slide throughout this presentation because throughout this presentation because throughout this presentation because this helps you to understand the this helps you to understand the this helps you to understand the foundation of why you potentially are foundation of why you potentially are foundation of why you potentially are frustrated and not getting out of pain. frustrated and not getting out of pain. frustrated and not getting out of pain. So number one is I've already kind of So number one is I've already kind of So number one is I've already kind of said this is that I personally feel that said this is that I personally feel that said this is that I personally feel that the biggest detriment to medicine right the biggest detriment to medicine right the biggest detriment to medicine right now is the fact that we are always now is the fact that we are always now is the fact that we are always seeking out the expert or the specialist seeking out the expert or the specialist seeking out the expert or the specialist and the entire system is based on and the entire system is based on and the entire system is based on specialties. So if you have a heart specialties. So if you have a heart specialties. So if you have a heart problem you're going to go to a problem you're going to go to a problem you're going to go to a cardiologist. If you have a gut problem cardiologist. If you have a gut problem cardiologist. If you have a gut problem you're going to go to a you're going to go to a you're going to go to a gastroenterenterologist. If you have gastroenterenterologist. If you have gastroenterenterologist. If you have depression or anxiety you're going to go depression or anxiety you're going to go depression or anxiety you're going to go to a psychiatrist or maybe even a to a psychiatrist or maybe even a to a psychiatrist or maybe even a psychologist. And nobody is talking to psychologist. And nobody is talking to psychologist. And nobody is talking to each other. Nobody is co-managing your each other. Nobody is co-managing your each other. Nobody is co-managing your case. So this brings me to the second case. So this brings me to the second case. So this brings me to the second point of the complete misunderstanding point of the complete misunderstanding point of the complete misunderstanding of basic physiology. So very very simple of basic physiology. So very very simple of basic physiology. So very very simple 80 or I'm sorry 90 to 95% of your 80 or I'm sorry 90 to 95% of your 80 or I'm sorry 90 to 95% of your serotonin which is your feel-good serotonin which is your feel-good serotonin which is your feel-good hormone is made in your gut. So if you hormone is made in your gut. So if you hormone is made in your gut. So if you have depression but you also have have depression but you also have have depression but you also have irritable bowel syndrome and you don't irritable bowel syndrome and you don't irritable bowel syndrome and you don't have your psychiatrist and your have your psychiatrist and your have your psychiatrist and your gastroenterenterologist co-managing, gastroenterenterologist co-managing, gastroenterenterologist co-managing, you're not going to get better. Or you you're not going to get better. Or you you're not going to get better. Or you might be treating a depression that is might be treating a depression that is might be treating a depression that is actually caused by your gut issues that actually caused by your gut issues that actually caused by your gut issues that maybe you haven't figured out how to fix maybe you haven't figured out how to fix maybe you haven't figured out how to fix yet. So it's extremely important to yet. So it's extremely important to yet. So it's extremely important to understand that this is not about the understand that this is not about the understand that this is not about the specialist or the expert. This is about specialist or the expert. This is about specialist or the expert. This is about someone who understands the body as an someone who understands the body as an someone who understands the body as an integration of systems and also integration of systems and also integration of systems and also understands basic [clears throat] understands basic [clears throat] understands basic [clears throat] physiology and understands how things physiology and understands how things physiology and understands how things communicate and how things are communicate and how things are communicate and how things are connected. And especially this is so so connected. And especially this is so so connected. And especially this is so so important when it even comes to important when it even comes to important when it even comes to hormones. I can't tell you how many hormones. I can't tell you how many hormones. I can't tell you how many women I work with with hormone issues women I work with with hormone issues women I work with with hormone issues that I never actually do anything to that I never actually do anything to that I never actually do anything to manipulate their hormones. And all I do manipulate their hormones. And all I do manipulate their hormones. And all I do is I fix the foundation. And sometimes is I fix the foundation. And sometimes is I fix the foundation. And sometimes that's a detox and sometimes that's a that's a detox and sometimes that's a that's a detox and sometimes that's a gut issue. Sometimes it's a neurological gut issue. Sometimes it's a neurological gut issue. Sometimes it's a neurological issue. We get that fixed and most of issue. We get that fixed and most of issue. We get that fixed and most of their problems go away. Their thyroid their problems go away. Their thyroid their problems go away. Their thyroid balances out. Their PMS goes away. Their balances out. Their PMS goes away. Their balances out. Their PMS goes away. Their cysts go away on their ovaries. You cysts go away on their ovaries. You cysts go away on their ovaries. You would be mind blown to know how many of would be mind blown to know how many of would be mind blown to know how many of those types of hormonal issues those types of hormonal issues those types of hormonal issues self-correct when you fix the self-correct when you fix the self-correct when you fix the foundation. foundation. foundation. So, a lot of people ask me on a So, a lot of people ask me on a So, a lot of people ask me on a day-to-day basis, why doesn't everybody day-to-day basis, why doesn't everybody day-to-day basis, why doesn't everybody do what you do? Why doesn't everybody do what you do? Why doesn't everybody do what you do? Why doesn't everybody think the way that integrated wellness think the way that integrated wellness think the way that integrated wellness group thinks? And my answer is is that group thinks? And my answer is is that group thinks? And my answer is is that medicine is based on a lot of medicine is based on a lot of medicine is based on a lot of chemistrybased tests. So the most chemistrybased tests. So the most chemistrybased tests. So the most traditional test that all of us do on a traditional test that all of us do on a traditional test that all of us do on a a yearly basis is going to be blood a yearly basis is going to be blood a yearly basis is going to be blood work. So blood work is a biochemistry work. So blood work is a biochemistry work. So blood work is a biochemistry test. It's chemistry and biology. It's test. It's chemistry and biology. It's test. It's chemistry and biology. It's using chemistry to look at your biology. using chemistry to look at your biology. using chemistry to look at your biology. So if your chemistry of your blood is So if your chemistry of your blood is So if your chemistry of your blood is off or altered or high or low, then it's off or altered or high or low, then it's off or altered or high or low, then it's we're going to use methods to manipulate we're going to use methods to manipulate we're going to use methods to manipulate the chemistry. And the way that we do the chemistry. And the way that we do the chemistry. And the way that we do that is by using drugs, pharmarmacology, that is by using drugs, pharmarmacology, that is by using drugs, pharmarmacology, medicine. So our whole system is based medicine. So our whole system is based medicine. So our whole system is based on using testing that is going to then on using testing that is going to then on using testing that is going to then result in the solution being result in the solution being result in the solution being pharmarmacology and medicine. So when pharmarmacology and medicine. So when pharmarmacology and medicine. So when you go beyond using just blood work and you go beyond using just blood work and you go beyond using just blood work and you dig deeper and you use more you dig deeper and you use more you dig deeper and you use more elaborate testing and you look at the elaborate testing and you look at the elaborate testing and you look at the DNA and you look at the emotional side DNA and you look at the emotional side DNA and you look at the emotional side and you look at the meridians, your and you look at the meridians, your and you look at the meridians, your treatment protocol is very different. treatment protocol is very different. treatment protocol is very different. But unfortunately there's not a ton of But unfortunately there's not a ton of But unfortunately there's not a ton of money to be made in all the rest of money to be made in all the rest of money to be made in all the rest of that. So, it's very important for you to that. So, it's very important for you to that. So, it's very important for you to understand that, you know, we don't do understand that, you know, we don't do understand that, you know, we don't do things the way that we do just to be things the way that we do just to be things the way that we do just to be weird. We do things because it's weird. We do things because it's weird. We do things because it's effective. It gives us better answers in effective. It gives us better answers in effective. It gives us better answers in a faster amount of time. And it also a faster amount of time. And it also a faster amount of time. And it also allows us to have more tools in the allows us to have more tools in the allows us to have more tools in the toolbox when it comes to the healing toolbox when it comes to the healing toolbox when it comes to the healing process. And it also gets us away from process. And it also gets us away from process. And it also gets us away from this idea that everything is a this idea that everything is a this idea that everything is a one-sizefits-all treatment. So one of one-sizefits-all treatment. So one of one-sizefits-all treatment. So one of the things that we do with our testing the things that we do with our testing the things that we do with our testing is we actually customize what is the is we actually customize what is the is we actually customize what is the best therapies for your body. What is best therapies for your body. What is best therapies for your body. What is the best supplements, herbs, tinctures, the best supplements, herbs, tinctures, the best supplements, herbs, tinctures, remedies for your body. Nothing is remedies for your body. Nothing is remedies for your body. Nothing is cookie cutter. So even if you come to me cookie cutter. So even if you come to me cookie cutter. So even if you come to me with rheumatoid arthritis, I'm not going with rheumatoid arthritis, I'm not going with rheumatoid arthritis, I'm not going to give you my cookie cutter rheumatoid to give you my cookie cutter rheumatoid to give you my cookie cutter rheumatoid arthritis regimen or protocol. I'm arthritis regimen or protocol. I'm arthritis regimen or protocol. I'm actually going to still customize it to actually going to still customize it to actually going to still customize it to your body and what your body's needs are your body and what your body's needs are your body and what your body's needs are because your body is going to be because your body is going to be because your body is going to be completely different than someone else completely different than someone else completely different than someone else who has rheumatoid arthritis. So, with who has rheumatoid arthritis. So, with who has rheumatoid arthritis. So, with that being said, we're going to start that being said, we're going to start that being said, we're going to start diving into the causes of pain because diving into the causes of pain because diving into the causes of pain because there are many, many reasons, but as we there are many, many reasons, but as we there are many, many reasons, but as we get into this, I actually want to tell get into this, I actually want to tell get into this, I actually want to tell you guys uh about specific person that you guys uh about specific person that you guys uh about specific person that we worked with that had rheumatoid we worked with that had rheumatoid we worked with that had rheumatoid arthritis. So we had a woman who came to arthritis. So we had a woman who came to arthritis. So we had a woman who came to us uh she was diagnosed with rheumatoid us uh she was diagnosed with rheumatoid us uh she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis after having her third child. arthritis after having her third child. arthritis after having her third child. She was definitely dealing with some She was definitely dealing with some She was definitely dealing with some pain and inflammation but it really pain and inflammation but it really pain and inflammation but it really catapulted after her third child and she catapulted after her third child and she catapulted after her third child and she was to the point that it was taking her was to the point that it was taking her was to the point that it was taking her almost an hour to get moving in the almost an hour to get moving in the almost an hour to get moving in the morning because she was in so much pain. morning because she was in so much pain. morning because she was in so much pain. She really couldn't function. She was a She really couldn't function. She was a She really couldn't function. She was a new mom. She was developing postpartum new mom. She was developing postpartum new mom. She was developing postpartum because she just couldn't even pick up because she just couldn't even pick up because she just couldn't even pick up her child without like crying because her child without like crying because her child without like crying because she was in so much pain. she was in so much pain. she was in so much pain. So So So when she came in, we were digging into when she came in, we were digging into when she came in, we were digging into her history and trying to understand, her history and trying to understand, her history and trying to understand, you know, what was the big the big you know, what was the big the big you know, what was the big the big catalyst or what was the straw that catalyst or what was the straw that catalyst or what was the straw that broke the camel's back for this person? broke the camel's back for this person? broke the camel's back for this person? Was it, you know, was it the pregnancy? Was it, you know, was it the pregnancy? Was it, you know, was it the pregnancy? Was it the stress of, you know, the Was it the stress of, you know, the Was it the stress of, you know, the hormonal change? Or was it something hormonal change? Or was it something hormonal change? Or was it something more? So one of the things that came up more? So one of the things that came up more? So one of the things that came up is she did [clears throat] reveal that is she did [clears throat] reveal that is she did [clears throat] reveal that her mother passed away um right actually her mother passed away um right actually her mother passed away um right actually 3 months before the rheumatoid arthritis 3 months before the rheumatoid arthritis 3 months before the rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis. And as she was even bringing diagnosis. And as she was even bringing diagnosis. And as she was even bringing this up, she did start to cry. So, she this up, she did start to cry. So, she this up, she did start to cry. So, she clearly was still going through the the clearly was still going through the the clearly was still going through the the grief process. And it was something that grief process. And it was something that grief process. And it was something that she hadn't really worked through. She she hadn't really worked through. She she hadn't really worked through. She hadn't even had time to. She was hadn't even had time to. She was hadn't even had time to. She was obviously trying to, you know, manage obviously trying to, you know, manage obviously trying to, you know, manage her life and and manage a newborn. So I her life and and manage a newborn. So I her life and and manage a newborn. So I told her that I based off of our told her that I based off of our told her that I based off of our testing, I did feel that, you know, this testing, I did feel that, you know, this testing, I did feel that, you know, this this grief was definitely a big player this grief was definitely a big player this grief was definitely a big player in what was the catalyst that caused all in what was the catalyst that caused all in what was the catalyst that caused all of this inflammation to come to the of this inflammation to come to the of this inflammation to come to the surface. So I don't want to confuse you surface. So I don't want to confuse you surface. So I don't want to confuse you guys because the thing you have to guys because the thing you have to guys because the thing you have to understand here is that a lot of us have understand here is that a lot of us have understand here is that a lot of us have this story. A lot of us have the story this story. A lot of us have the story this story. A lot of us have the story that, you know, we didn't maybe feel the that, you know, we didn't maybe feel the that, you know, we didn't maybe feel the best, but it came and went and we got best, but it came and went and we got best, but it came and went and we got through our lives. We function. And then through our lives. We function. And then through our lives. We function. And then there was just this like one moment that there was just this like one moment that there was just this like one moment that we're like, "What is going on? My body we're like, "What is going on? My body we're like, "What is going on? My body is literally shutting down on me and I'm is literally shutting down on me and I'm is literally shutting down on me and I'm I'm scared." And it's like we kind of I'm scared." And it's like we kind of I'm scared." And it's like we kind of feel like everything hit us like a ton feel like everything hit us like a ton feel like everything hit us like a ton of bricks. And what I always explain is of bricks. And what I always explain is of bricks. And what I always explain is that there were things brewing in the that there were things brewing in the that there were things brewing in the background, but there was the one thing background, but there was the one thing background, but there was the one thing that was the straw that broke the that was the straw that broke the that was the straw that broke the camel's back. And sometimes that's a camel's back. And sometimes that's a camel's back. And sometimes that's a virus, and sometimes that's a trauma. virus, and sometimes that's a trauma. virus, and sometimes that's a trauma. And sometimes that's a that's the birth And sometimes that's a that's the birth And sometimes that's a that's the birth of a child. It could be different person of a child. It could be different person of a child. It could be different person to person, but I explained to her that I to person, but I explained to her that I to person, but I explained to her that I did I did not want to ignore the fact did I did not want to ignore the fact did I did not want to ignore the fact that she was grieving and feeling that that she was grieving and feeling that that she was grieving and feeling that that was a big part of what was the that was a big part of what was the that was a big part of what was the onset for the rheumatoator arthritis. onset for the rheumatoator arthritis. onset for the rheumatoator arthritis. And she just was like, "Listen, I can't And she just was like, "Listen, I can't And she just was like, "Listen, I can't function. I need to take care of my function. I need to take care of my function. I need to take care of my child. I need you to help me detox and, child. I need you to help me detox and, child. I need you to help me detox and, you know, get this inflammation down. I you know, get this inflammation down. I you know, get this inflammation down. I can't imagine that the culprit behind can't imagine that the culprit behind can't imagine that the culprit behind this has to do with my mom passing this has to do with my mom passing this has to do with my mom passing away." So I said, "Okay, so we're going away." So I said, "Okay, so we're going away." So I said, "Okay, so we're going to do the regimen and then in four weeks to do the regimen and then in four weeks to do the regimen and then in four weeks we're going to revisit this conversation we're going to revisit this conversation we're going to revisit this conversation and we're going to check in and see how and we're going to check in and see how and we're going to check in and see how you're doing." And I said, "If you if you're doing." And I said, "If you if you're doing." And I said, "If you if you have not improved by at least 50%, you have not improved by at least 50%, you have not improved by at least 50%, we are going to revisit the conversation we are going to revisit the conversation we are going to revisit the conversation about this emotional piece." She goes, about this emotional piece." She goes, about this emotional piece." She goes, "Okay, okay." She's kind of blowing me "Okay, okay." She's kind of blowing me "Okay, okay." She's kind of blowing me off. So four weeks later, she comes to off. So four weeks later, she comes to off. So four weeks later, she comes to me. She goes, "I don't really feel much me. She goes, "I don't really feel much me. She goes, "I don't really feel much better." And I go, "Okay." I was like, better." And I go, "Okay." I was like, better." And I go, "Okay." I was like, "Are you willing to do something called "Are you willing to do something called "Are you willing to do something called the D Martini method, which is the the D Martini method, which is the the D Martini method, which is the method that Dr. Nick does in our office method that Dr. Nick does in our office method that Dr. Nick does in our office that helps people to work through that helps people to work through that helps people to work through grief?" It's actually done over the grief?" It's actually done over the grief?" It's actually done over the course of a few hours. It is not talk course of a few hours. It is not talk course of a few hours. It is not talk therapy. It is not tapping. It It's therapy. It is not tapping. It It's therapy. It is not tapping. It It's very, very different. It's something very, very different. It's something very, very different. It's something that you can definitely read more about that you can definitely read more about that you can definitely read more about on our website. So, she did it. She did on our website. So, she did it. She did on our website. So, she did it. She did it over the course of a few hours. She it over the course of a few hours. She it over the course of a few hours. She completely walked away like a new completely walked away like a new completely walked away like a new person. So much lighter. so so balanced person. So much lighter. so so balanced person. So much lighter. so so balanced and appreciative and loving towards her and appreciative and loving towards her and appreciative and loving towards her mom but not in a place of feeling mom but not in a place of feeling mom but not in a place of feeling massive sadness but just feeling very massive sadness but just feeling very massive sadness but just feeling very grateful that she had such a wonderful grateful that she had such a wonderful grateful that she had such a wonderful mom in her life in the time that she was mom in her life in the time that she was mom in her life in the time that she was with her. So within a week of her doing with her. So within a week of her doing with her. So within a week of her doing the D Martini method she lost 15 pounds the D Martini method she lost 15 pounds the D Martini method she lost 15 pounds of inflammation. of inflammation. of inflammation. So, this is not something that happens So, this is not something that happens So, this is not something that happens all the time, but this is really, really all the time, but this is really, really all the time, but this is really, really significant. And I'm saying this to you significant. And I'm saying this to you significant. And I'm saying this to you guys not telling you that this is your guys not telling you that this is your guys not telling you that this is your root cause, but having you understand root cause, but having you understand root cause, but having you understand that you you can't just ignore some of that you you can't just ignore some of that you you can't just ignore some of these pieces of the puzzle. You have to these pieces of the puzzle. You have to these pieces of the puzzle. You have to make sure that your physician is looking make sure that your physician is looking make sure that your physician is looking at all aspects so you're not wasting at all aspects so you're not wasting at all aspects so you're not wasting time and money. Essentially, you could time and money. Essentially, you could time and money. Essentially, you could do all the detoxes in the world, but if do all the detoxes in the world, but if do all the detoxes in the world, but if your root cause is something emotional your root cause is something emotional your root cause is something emotional that you haven't worked through, then that you haven't worked through, then that you haven't worked through, then you're not going to get better. So, it's you're not going to get better. So, it's you're not going to get better. So, it's very, very important that all factors very, very important that all factors very, very important that all factors are considered, and it's really just a are considered, and it's really just a are considered, and it's really just a matter of understanding what your root matter of understanding what your root matter of understanding what your root cause is. So, obviously with that story, cause is. So, obviously with that story, cause is. So, obviously with that story, the emotional piece can definitely play the emotional piece can definitely play the emotional piece can definitely play a role. But for other people, there are a role. But for other people, there are a role. But for other people, there are so many other factors to consider. One so many other factors to consider. One so many other factors to consider. One of them being is your pain from physical of them being is your pain from physical of them being is your pain from physical trauma? Did you have a head injury? Did trauma? Did you have a head injury? Did trauma? Did you have a head injury? Did you have, you know, knee injuries you have, you know, knee injuries you have, you know, knee injuries because you were a basketball player? because you were a basketball player? because you were a basketball player? Did you have a ton tons of tears and Did you have a ton tons of tears and Did you have a ton tons of tears and strain sprains because you were an strain sprains because you were an strain sprains because you were an athlete? Or do you have tons of chemical athlete? Or do you have tons of chemical athlete? Or do you have tons of chemical and toxic stress? Did you grow up on a and toxic stress? Did you grow up on a and toxic stress? Did you grow up on a farm? Did you work in a factory? Um, did farm? Did you work in a factory? Um, did farm? Did you work in a factory? Um, did you have a ton of dental work that you have a ton of dental work that you have a ton of dental work that caused you to be exposed to mercury? Do caused you to be exposed to mercury? Do caused you to be exposed to mercury? Do you eat tons of fish? Have you lived in you eat tons of fish? Have you lived in you eat tons of fish? Have you lived in a moldy apartment? Those are all a moldy apartment? Those are all a moldy apartment? Those are all contributing factors to joint pain. And contributing factors to joint pain. And contributing factors to joint pain. And then we have infections. then we have infections. then we have infections. This is something that I'm going to tell This is something that I'm going to tell This is something that I'm going to tell you guys a story about because this is you guys a story about because this is you guys a story about because this is something that is so not on people's something that is so not on people's something that is so not on people's radar. And I think the only thing that radar. And I think the only thing that radar. And I think the only thing that is on some people's radar is Lyme is on some people's radar is Lyme is on some people's radar is Lyme disease. And Lyme disease, when you hear disease. And Lyme disease, when you hear disease. And Lyme disease, when you hear about it, it is usually associated with about it, it is usually associated with about it, it is usually associated with some type of joint pain. And it's very some type of joint pain. And it's very some type of joint pain. And it's very well known to affect the knees and the well known to affect the knees and the well known to affect the knees and the hips. But there is another type of hips. But there is another type of hips. But there is another type of infection that is actually more common infection that is actually more common infection that is actually more common to affect the joints and this is strep. to affect the joints and this is strep. to affect the joints and this is strep. Yes, the strep that you get in your Yes, the strep that you get in your Yes, the strep that you get in your throat. Strep is the most most common throat. Strep is the most most common throat. Strep is the most most common thing that I find in people's joints. So thing that I find in people's joints. So thing that I find in people's joints. So this is an interesting story. So we have this is an interesting story. So we have this is an interesting story. So we have chiropractic in our practice and we have chiropractic in our practice and we have chiropractic in our practice and we have a device called a soundwave unit. So a device called a soundwave unit. So a device called a soundwave unit. So soundwave is specifically geared towards soundwave is specifically geared towards soundwave is specifically geared towards sending sound waves into tissue to break sending sound waves into tissue to break sending sound waves into tissue to break down scar tissue. So in the very early down scar tissue. So in the very early down scar tissue. So in the very early stages of our practice we got the stages of our practice we got the stages of our practice we got the soundwave machine specifically for joint soundwave machine specifically for joint soundwave machine specifically for joint pain injuries, rotator cuff, all those pain injuries, rotator cuff, all those pain injuries, rotator cuff, all those types of things. And it works wonders. types of things. And it works wonders. types of things. And it works wonders. It's amazing. It breaks down scar It's amazing. It breaks down scar It's amazing. It breaks down scar tissue. It gets people out of pain. It's tissue. It gets people out of pain. It's tissue. It gets people out of pain. It's literally an amazing technology. But literally an amazing technology. But literally an amazing technology. But what happened was is we had a guy that what happened was is we had a guy that what happened was is we had a guy that came in for chiropractic. He did not came in for chiropractic. He did not came in for chiropractic. He did not come in for functional medicine. He did come in for functional medicine. He did come in for functional medicine. He did not want further testing. He just says, not want further testing. He just says, not want further testing. He just says, "I have a knee problem. I heard about "I have a knee problem. I heard about "I have a knee problem. I heard about your soundwave. I want to get Soundwave your soundwave. I want to get Soundwave your soundwave. I want to get Soundwave done and I want to resolve my knee done and I want to resolve my knee done and I want to resolve my knee pain." So, he was working with one of pain." So, he was working with one of pain." So, he was working with one of the chiropractors. He did the Soundwave the chiropractors. He did the Soundwave the chiropractors. He did the Soundwave on his knee. And at this point, we have on his knee. And at this point, we have on his knee. And at this point, we have only seen success with Soundwave. We've only seen success with Soundwave. We've only seen success with Soundwave. We've seen people say, "Oh my gosh, 50% of my seen people say, "Oh my gosh, 50% of my seen people say, "Oh my gosh, 50% of my pain is gone after one or two pain is gone after one or two pain is gone after one or two treatments." So, we expected the same treatments." So, we expected the same treatments." So, we expected the same result. So, he came back about 2 days result. So, he came back about 2 days result. So, he came back about 2 days later and he said, "I was supposed to later and he said, "I was supposed to later and he said, "I was supposed to come here yesterday, but I couldn't even come here yesterday, but I couldn't even come here yesterday, but I couldn't even make it here because my knee was so bad. make it here because my knee was so bad. make it here because my knee was so bad. Do not come near me with that machine." Do not come near me with that machine." Do not come near me with that machine." And we were like, "Whoa, that's the And we were like, "Whoa, that's the And we were like, "Whoa, that's the first time we've ever heard that." So we first time we've ever heard that." So we first time we've ever heard that." So we said, "Okay, clearly there's something said, "Okay, clearly there's something said, "Okay, clearly there's something more going on with your knee and we need more going on with your knee and we need more going on with your knee and we need to do more testing on it." So we tested to do more testing on it." So we tested to do more testing on it." So we tested the knee and it turned out the culprit the knee and it turned out the culprit the knee and it turned out the culprit was strep that was in the meniscus and was strep that was in the meniscus and was strep that was in the meniscus and also in the synovial fluid of his knee. also in the synovial fluid of his knee. also in the synovial fluid of his knee. So what happened was we used the So what happened was we used the So what happened was we used the soundwave and the soundwave because it soundwave and the soundwave because it soundwave and the soundwave because it breaks up scar tissue adhesions it can breaks up scar tissue adhesions it can breaks up scar tissue adhesions it can also um break up any type of adhesions also um break up any type of adhesions also um break up any type of adhesions in the lymphatic system in the lymph in the lymphatic system in the lymph in the lymphatic system in the lymph nodes. Lymph nodes also are part of your nodes. Lymph nodes also are part of your nodes. Lymph nodes also are part of your immune system. So what happened was is immune system. So what happened was is immune system. So what happened was is we mobilized the strep in his knee from we mobilized the strep in his knee from we mobilized the strep in his knee from doing the soundwave. So that was one the doing the soundwave. So that was one the doing the soundwave. So that was one the of the most eyeopening um parts of of or of the most eyeopening um parts of of or of the most eyeopening um parts of of or pieces of the puzzle I should say pieces of the puzzle I should say pieces of the puzzle I should say because at that point we opted to have a because at that point we opted to have a because at that point we opted to have a chronic pain program in our practice chronic pain program in our practice chronic pain program in our practice because we knew that if you just look at because we knew that if you just look at because we knew that if you just look at pain as being a physical issue that's pain as being a physical issue that's pain as being a physical issue that's when you can't help people to the when you can't help people to the when you can't help people to the maximum capacity because if you've had maximum capacity because if you've had maximum capacity because if you've had chronic pain that you've had PT you've chronic pain that you've had PT you've chronic pain that you've had PT you've had chiropractic you've had orthopedic had chiropractic you've had orthopedic had chiropractic you've had orthopedic surgeries you've done all of those surgeries you've done all of those surgeries you've done all of those things then you need to start look things then you need to start look things then you need to start look elsewhere because I doubt your pain is elsewhere because I doubt your pain is elsewhere because I doubt your pain is actually due to just physical trauma actually due to just physical trauma actually due to just physical trauma injury or repetitive stress. So it's injury or repetitive stress. So it's injury or repetitive stress. So it's very very important to do the right very very important to do the right very very important to do the right testing so that you're not on this testing so that you're not on this testing so that you're not on this merrygoround of never getting better and merrygoround of never getting better and merrygoround of never getting better and never getting answers. never getting answers. never getting answers. So the other thing too is neurological So the other thing too is neurological So the other thing too is neurological pain patterns. So neurological pain pain patterns. So neurological pain pain patterns. So neurological pain patterns are always very interesting patterns are always very interesting patterns are always very interesting because when I have people that come to because when I have people that come to because when I have people that come to me and they say, "Oh, my pain's me and they say, "Oh, my pain's me and they say, "Oh, my pain's different all the time. I'll wake up, my different all the time. I'll wake up, my different all the time. I'll wake up, my elbow will hurt. The next day my knee elbow will hurt. The next day my knee elbow will hurt. The next day my knee will hurt, you know, and a week later will hurt, you know, and a week later will hurt, you know, and a week later I'll have, you know, my my neck is I'll have, you know, my my neck is I'll have, you know, my my neck is hurting." Those types of migrating pains hurting." Those types of migrating pains hurting." Those types of migrating pains are not necessarily because you have are not necessarily because you have are not necessarily because you have issues in every single joint of your issues in every single joint of your issues in every single joint of your entire body. That can actually be entire body. That can actually be entire body. That can actually be stemming from your neurological system. stemming from your neurological system. stemming from your neurological system. And that can be your brain is stressed And that can be your brain is stressed And that can be your brain is stressed from a a head injury. Um, it could be from a a head injury. Um, it could be from a a head injury. Um, it could be stressed from not getting proper blood stressed from not getting proper blood stressed from not getting proper blood flow. It could be stress because you flow. It could be stress because you flow. It could be stress because you have blood sugar issues. Um, we're going have blood sugar issues. Um, we're going have blood sugar issues. Um, we're going to dive more into that, but the brain to dive more into that, but the brain to dive more into that, but the brain can be affected by a lot a lot of can be affected by a lot a lot of can be affected by a lot a lot of different things. So, this alone should different things. So, this alone should different things. So, this alone should be extremely eyeopening to you guys to be extremely eyeopening to you guys to be extremely eyeopening to you guys to understand that pain is not necessarily understand that pain is not necessarily understand that pain is not necessarily always physical. It can have many, many always physical. It can have many, many always physical. It can have many, many origins. origins. origins. So, some of the biggest biggest myths So, some of the biggest biggest myths So, some of the biggest biggest myths about pain is that it can only really be about pain is that it can only really be about pain is that it can only really be taken care of through surgery and taken care of through surgery and taken care of through surgery and painkillers. That emotional trauma and painkillers. That emotional trauma and painkillers. That emotional trauma and stress has nothing to do with your pain stress has nothing to do with your pain stress has nothing to do with your pain or your onset of rheumatoid arthritis. or your onset of rheumatoid arthritis. or your onset of rheumatoid arthritis. that you have been thoroughly tested for that you have been thoroughly tested for that you have been thoroughly tested for all of the possibilities, toxicity being all of the possibilities, toxicity being all of the possibilities, toxicity being one, infections have nothing to do with one, infections have nothing to do with one, infections have nothing to do with joint problems, and that your diagnosis joint problems, and that your diagnosis joint problems, and that your diagnosis actually tells you anything about your actually tells you anything about your actually tells you anything about your root cause. And what I mean by that is root cause. And what I mean by that is root cause. And what I mean by that is most diagnosis is just a description of most diagnosis is just a description of most diagnosis is just a description of your symptoms. It actually doesn't your symptoms. It actually doesn't your symptoms. It actually doesn't usually give you any insight as to why. usually give you any insight as to why. usually give you any insight as to why. It just says, "Oh, fibromyalgia, you It just says, "Oh, fibromyalgia, you It just says, "Oh, fibromyalgia, you have various pain points on your body. have various pain points on your body. have various pain points on your body. End of story. We don't know why, but End of story. We don't know why, but End of story. We don't know why, but that's what you have." Like, in my that's what you have." Like, in my that's what you have." Like, in my opinion, that's not good enough. You opinion, that's not good enough. You opinion, that's not good enough. You need to understand why. You deserve to need to understand why. You deserve to need to understand why. You deserve to understand why. understand why. understand why. So, when it comes to the physical pain So, when it comes to the physical pain So, when it comes to the physical pain piece, I want to dive into this even piece, I want to dive into this even piece, I want to dive into this even more because this is not as cut and dry more because this is not as cut and dry more because this is not as cut and dry as you guys think. This is not just, oh, as you guys think. This is not just, oh, as you guys think. This is not just, oh, I was an athlete and I banged myself up I was an athlete and I banged myself up I was an athlete and I banged myself up pretty good because it's really there pretty good because it's really there pretty good because it's really there are other factors that can play in that are other factors that can play in that are other factors that can play in that are totally not what you're thinking are totally not what you're thinking are totally not what you're thinking about on a day-to-day basis. One of about on a day-to-day basis. One of about on a day-to-day basis. One of those is antibiotic use. So antibiotics, those is antibiotic use. So antibiotics, those is antibiotic use. So antibiotics, there is a family of antibiotics called there is a family of antibiotics called there is a family of antibiotics called fuoricquinolones. fuoricquinolones. fuoricquinolones. And floricquinolones is cypro and And floricquinolones is cypro and And floricquinolones is cypro and levocquin. If you guys have ever heard levocquin. If you guys have ever heard levocquin. If you guys have ever heard about the side effects of levoquin is it about the side effects of levoquin is it about the side effects of levoquin is it can cause you to tear can cause you to tear can cause you to tear your Achilles tendon. Your Achilles your Achilles tendon. Your Achilles your Achilles tendon. Your Achilles tendon is the tendon on the back of your tendon is the tendon on the back of your tendon is the tendon on the back of your ankle that is actually the strongest ankle that is actually the strongest ankle that is actually the strongest tendon in your entire body. So if this tendon in your entire body. So if this tendon in your entire body. So if this fuoricquinolone family has enough power fuoricquinolone family has enough power fuoricquinolone family has enough power to break down your connective tissue to break down your connective tissue to break down your connective tissue enough that it could potentially rupture enough that it could potentially rupture enough that it could potentially rupture the strongest tendon in your body. Think the strongest tendon in your body. Think the strongest tendon in your body. Think about what that's doing to other parts about what that's doing to other parts about what that's doing to other parts of your body. So this is something that of your body. So this is something that of your body. So this is something that is extremely important especially if you is extremely important especially if you is extremely important especially if you have a young athlete. one of your kids have a young athlete. one of your kids have a young athlete. one of your kids is, you know, this superstar athlete, is, you know, this superstar athlete, is, you know, this superstar athlete, but maybe they keep getting streped but maybe they keep getting streped but maybe they keep getting streped throat, maybe they keep getting upper throat, maybe they keep getting upper throat, maybe they keep getting upper respiratory infections, maybe your respiratory infections, maybe your respiratory infections, maybe your daughter keeps getting urinary tract daughter keeps getting urinary tract daughter keeps getting urinary tract infections, and you keep putting them on infections, and you keep putting them on infections, and you keep putting them on these antibiotics. And then all of a these antibiotics. And then all of a these antibiotics. And then all of a sudden, you're like, "Oh my gosh, sudden, you're like, "Oh my gosh, sudden, you're like, "Oh my gosh, they're injured again. Oh my gosh, they're injured again. Oh my gosh, they're injured again. Oh my gosh, podiatrist, you know, orthopedic, podiatrist, you know, orthopedic, podiatrist, you know, orthopedic, chiropractor." And you're just running chiropractor." And you're just running chiropractor." And you're just running around to all of these different types around to all of these different types around to all of these different types of, you know, physicians. And what the of, you know, physicians. And what the of, you know, physicians. And what the root cause is is that their connective root cause is is that their connective root cause is is that their connective tissue is breaking down because of this tissue is breaking down because of this tissue is breaking down because of this antibiotic family. So this is very antibiotic family. So this is very antibiotic family. So this is very important to take into consideration important to take into consideration important to take into consideration because I find that a lot of young because I find that a lot of young because I find that a lot of young athletes that I work with that are athletes that I work with that are athletes that I work with that are injured, it's because of this reason. injured, it's because of this reason. injured, it's because of this reason. So, another thing too is if your pain So, another thing too is if your pain So, another thing too is if your pain truly is physical and you are trying to truly is physical and you are trying to truly is physical and you are trying to seek out a therapy to get better, seek out a therapy to get better, seek out a therapy to get better, work with someone who is going to work work with someone who is going to work work with someone who is going to work on your muscles, your ligaments, your on your muscles, your ligaments, your on your muscles, your ligaments, your tendons, and your joints. Because your tendons, and your joints. Because your tendons, and your joints. Because your muscles, your ligaments, your tendons, muscles, your ligaments, your tendons, muscles, your ligaments, your tendons, and your joints are all working and your joints are all working and your joints are all working together. They are all connected. So, if together. They are all connected. So, if together. They are all connected. So, if you go to a chiropractor that doesn't do you go to a chiropractor that doesn't do you go to a chiropractor that doesn't do muscle work, you're going to find that muscle work, you're going to find that muscle work, you're going to find that your really tight spasm muscles are your really tight spasm muscles are your really tight spasm muscles are going to pull you right back back out of going to pull you right back back out of going to pull you right back back out of alignment. And if you try to address alignment. And if you try to address alignment. And if you try to address muscles and break up scar tissue and muscles and break up scar tissue and muscles and break up scar tissue and strengthen, but the joint is still out strengthen, but the joint is still out strengthen, but the joint is still out of place, so the nerves are not firing of place, so the nerves are not firing of place, so the nerves are not firing to the muscle, you're also going to run to the muscle, you're also going to run to the muscle, you're also going to run into roadblocks or you're going to do 75 into roadblocks or you're going to do 75 into roadblocks or you're going to do 75 PT sessions. So, it's really a matter of PT sessions. So, it's really a matter of PT sessions. So, it's really a matter of working with someone who understands working with someone who understands working with someone who understands both of those pieces. And that might be both of those pieces. And that might be both of those pieces. And that might be a chiropractor who does muscle work. a chiropractor who does muscle work. a chiropractor who does muscle work. That might be um a uh osteopath. It That might be um a uh osteopath. It That might be um a uh osteopath. It really is up to your preference. really is up to your preference. really is up to your preference. Another big piece too is scar tissue. Another big piece too is scar tissue. Another big piece too is scar tissue. Another thing that uh people are not Another thing that uh people are not Another thing that uh people are not necessarily taking into cons necessarily taking into cons necessarily taking into cons consideration is they have an injury, consideration is they have an injury, consideration is they have an injury, they have a tear, you know, or they they they have a tear, you know, or they they they have a tear, you know, or they they have um you know, a herniation and they have um you know, a herniation and they have um you know, a herniation and they have to go get things cleaned up. have to go get things cleaned up. have to go get things cleaned up. Anytime you have a surgical Anytime you have a surgical Anytime you have a surgical intervention, you are going to develop intervention, you are going to develop intervention, you are going to develop scar tissue. If you have repetitive scar tissue. If you have repetitive scar tissue. If you have repetitive stress because you were a pitcher, you stress because you were a pitcher, you stress because you were a pitcher, you are going to have scar tissue. So, you are going to have scar tissue. So, you are going to have scar tissue. So, you need to make sure that scar tissue is need to make sure that scar tissue is need to make sure that scar tissue is being addressed if you're trying to heal being addressed if you're trying to heal being addressed if you're trying to heal your physical pain. And that's actually your physical pain. And that's actually your physical pain. And that's actually something that we test for is we test something that we test for is we test something that we test for is we test does, you know, does this person need does, you know, does this person need does, you know, does this person need something called scar tissue release. I something called scar tissue release. I something called scar tissue release. I can't tell you how many women that have can't tell you how many women that have can't tell you how many women that have had C-sections need their C-section scar had C-sections need their C-section scar had C-sections need their C-section scar to be worked on because it's actually to be worked on because it's actually to be worked on because it's actually causing adhesions in their bowels or causing adhesions in their bowels or causing adhesions in their bowels or it's causing adhesions in their uterus. it's causing adhesions in their uterus. it's causing adhesions in their uterus. So this is something that definitely So this is something that definitely So this is something that definitely should not be overlooked and you really should not be overlooked and you really should not be overlooked and you really should make sure that your scar tissue should make sure that your scar tissue should make sure that your scar tissue is being addressed and there are a is being addressed and there are a is being addressed and there are a variety of different ways to work on variety of different ways to work on variety of different ways to work on that. One of them being the soundwave that. One of them being the soundwave that. One of them being the soundwave therapy that I mentioned and then there therapy that I mentioned and then there therapy that I mentioned and then there are other types of manual therapies that are other types of manual therapies that are other types of manual therapies that you can do uh for scar tissue. you can do uh for scar tissue. you can do uh for scar tissue. So, another thing too is if we've had So, another thing too is if we've had So, another thing too is if we've had surgery and we maybe had a replacement, surgery and we maybe had a replacement, surgery and we maybe had a replacement, we had a hip replacement, we had a knee we had a hip replacement, we had a knee we had a hip replacement, we had a knee replacement, or maybe we broke our replacement, or maybe we broke our replacement, or maybe we broke our collar bone collar bone and we had to collar bone collar bone and we had to collar bone collar bone and we had to get a plate in to hold it together and get a plate in to hold it together and get a plate in to hold it together and you're continually having pain in these you're continually having pain in these you're continually having pain in these areas. It's not about, okay, maybe, you areas. It's not about, okay, maybe, you areas. It's not about, okay, maybe, you know, I'm my body is adapting to the know, I'm my body is adapting to the know, I'm my body is adapting to the surgery or my body's still healing. You surgery or my body's still healing. You surgery or my body's still healing. You also have to make sure that you're not also have to make sure that you're not also have to make sure that you're not having an immune response to the having an immune response to the having an immune response to the materials that were put into your body materials that were put into your body materials that were put into your body because that is also not uncommon that because that is also not uncommon that because that is also not uncommon that maybe they put titanium in you or maybe maybe they put titanium in you or maybe maybe they put titanium in you or maybe they put some other type of metal and they put some other type of metal and they put some other type of metal and your immune system is having a negative your immune system is having a negative your immune system is having a negative reaction. So there are many ways that reaction. So there are many ways that reaction. So there are many ways that you can actually test these types of you can actually test these types of you can actually test these types of metals to make sure that your body is metals to make sure that your body is metals to make sure that your body is going to have a positive response and going to have a positive response and going to have a positive response and not necessarily activate some type of um not necessarily activate some type of um not necessarily activate some type of um immune response. immune response. immune response. So the connective tissue disorders I So the connective tissue disorders I So the connective tissue disorders I mentioned that obviously these mentioned that obviously these mentioned that obviously these antibiotics uh like the cypro and antibiotics uh like the cypro and antibiotics uh like the cypro and levoquin can definitely play a role but levoquin can definitely play a role but levoquin can definitely play a role but in addition um if somebody has something in addition um if somebody has something in addition um if somebody has something like lupus that they are unaware of that like lupus that they are unaware of that like lupus that they are unaware of that can also be a culprit as to why they're can also be a culprit as to why they're can also be a culprit as to why they're constantly tearing strain straining constantly tearing strain straining constantly tearing strain straining spraining etc. So, if you're that person spraining etc. So, if you're that person spraining etc. So, if you're that person that's always getting injured, you that's always getting injured, you that's always getting injured, you always have soft tissue damage, you always have soft tissue damage, you always have soft tissue damage, you might need to get checked to make sure might need to get checked to make sure might need to get checked to make sure that you don't have some type of that you don't have some type of that you don't have some type of autoimmune uh connective tissue tissue autoimmune uh connective tissue tissue autoimmune uh connective tissue tissue disorder like lupus. So, that's very disorder like lupus. So, that's very disorder like lupus. So, that's very very important to take into very important to take into very important to take into consideration. consideration. consideration. So, the infections, I know that I talked So, the infections, I know that I talked So, the infections, I know that I talked about this a little bit already, but for about this a little bit already, but for about this a little bit already, but for those of you that are new joining us, um those of you that are new joining us, um those of you that are new joining us, um the most common infections that I find the most common infections that I find the most common infections that I find in people's joints, one of them is lime. in people's joints, one of them is lime. in people's joints, one of them is lime. Lime, the bacteria is technically Lime, the bacteria is technically Lime, the bacteria is technically technically called burilia. technically called burilia. technically called burilia. The other one, the most common is strep. The other one, the most common is strep. The other one, the most common is strep. And yes, that is the strep that you get And yes, that is the strep that you get And yes, that is the strep that you get in your throat. strep can get into your in your throat. strep can get into your in your throat. strep can get into your lymph nodes and then it can travel lymph nodes and then it can travel lymph nodes and then it can travel throughout the body through your throughout the body through your throughout the body through your lymphatic vessels. Your lymphatic lymphatic vessels. Your lymphatic lymphatic vessels. Your lymphatic vessels do um funnel things through the vessels do um funnel things through the vessels do um funnel things through the body. So that's one of the primary ways body. So that's one of the primary ways body. So that's one of the primary ways that it gets into other areas. And these that it gets into other areas. And these that it gets into other areas. And these types of infections, they're choosy types of infections, they're choosy types of infections, they're choosy where they go. They will go to an area where they go. They will go to an area where they go. They will go to an area that is vulnerable. So if you were a that is vulnerable. So if you were a that is vulnerable. So if you were a runner or a basketball player and you do runner or a basketball player and you do runner or a basketball player and you do have some damage to your knees because have some damage to your knees because have some damage to your knees because of that or even your hips then these of that or even your hips then these of that or even your hips then these bacterias will migrate to that bacterias will migrate to that bacterias will migrate to that vulnerable tissue and make that its new vulnerable tissue and make that its new vulnerable tissue and make that its new home. So, interesting enough too is um I home. So, interesting enough too is um I home. So, interesting enough too is um I remember doing testing and finding strep remember doing testing and finding strep remember doing testing and finding strep in people's joints and wondering like is in people's joints and wondering like is in people's joints and wondering like is this common? Because I feel like this is this common? Because I feel like this is this common? Because I feel like this is common in my my personal practice. And common in my my personal practice. And common in my my personal practice. And what's interesting is one of our newer what's interesting is one of our newer what's interesting is one of our newer softwares that we have that's for all of softwares that we have that's for all of softwares that we have that's for all of our electronical med electronical um our electronical med electronical um our electronical med electronical um electronic medical records. Um, one of I electronic medical records. Um, one of I electronic medical records. Um, one of I was going in putting diagnosis codes in was going in putting diagnosis codes in was going in putting diagnosis codes in and I typed in strep and there was a and I typed in strep and there was a and I typed in strep and there was a drop down and there were over 50 drop down and there were over 50 drop down and there were over 50 diagnosis codes for strep in joints. So, diagnosis codes for strep in joints. So, diagnosis codes for strep in joints. So, this is definitely not as uncommon as this is definitely not as uncommon as this is definitely not as uncommon as people presume it to be. So, strep is people presume it to be. So, strep is people presume it to be. So, strep is definitely something that you have to definitely something that you have to definitely something that you have to take into consideration if you have had take into consideration if you have had take into consideration if you have had joint pain that has not been resolved joint pain that has not been resolved joint pain that has not been resolved through physical type therapies. The through physical type therapies. The through physical type therapies. The other big one is Epstein bar virus. Um other big one is Epstein bar virus. Um other big one is Epstein bar virus. Um Epstein bar virus is pretty well known Epstein bar virus is pretty well known Epstein bar virus is pretty well known because that is the virus that is uh because that is the virus that is uh because that is the virus that is uh known to be associated with mono. Um known to be associated with mono. Um known to be associated with mono. Um viruses don't leave your body. Viruses viruses don't leave your body. Viruses viruses don't leave your body. Viruses become part of your DNA. And later in become part of your DNA. And later in become part of your DNA. And later in life when there's stress or there's a life when there's stress or there's a life when there's stress or there's a big hormonal change or you have a baby big hormonal change or you have a baby big hormonal change or you have a baby or you're burnt out, a lot of times or you're burnt out, a lot of times or you're burnt out, a lot of times viruses can reactivate and rear their viruses can reactivate and rear their viruses can reactivate and rear their ugly heads. And that's definitely ugly heads. And that's definitely ugly heads. And that's definitely sometimes when you're like, "Oh, I feel sometimes when you're like, "Oh, I feel sometimes when you're like, "Oh, I feel so achy. It's really hard to get out of so achy. It's really hard to get out of so achy. It's really hard to get out of bed and I'm feeling really stiff." And bed and I'm feeling really stiff." And bed and I'm feeling really stiff." And then you're like, "Oh, I feel better. then you're like, "Oh, I feel better. then you're like, "Oh, I feel better. Oh, it's back. Oh, I feel better. Oh, Oh, it's back. Oh, I feel better. Oh, Oh, it's back. Oh, I feel better. Oh, it's back." That is very typical of it's back." That is very typical of it's back." That is very typical of viruses that you're on this roller viruses that you're on this roller viruses that you're on this roller coaster ride because they'll be active, coaster ride because they'll be active, coaster ride because they'll be active, they'll be dormant. They'll be active, they'll be dormant. They'll be active, they'll be dormant. They'll be active, they'll be dormant. So, it's definitely they'll be dormant. So, it's definitely they'll be dormant. So, it's definitely important for you to take these things important for you to take these things important for you to take these things into consideration when you're trying to into consideration when you're trying to into consideration when you're trying to understand what is the root cause of all understand what is the root cause of all understand what is the root cause of all of this. of this. of this. So, another big one is toxicity. So for So, another big one is toxicity. So for So, another big one is toxicity. So for those of you listening that are not those of you listening that are not those of you listening that are not necessarily new to this world of necessarily new to this world of necessarily new to this world of integrative and functional medicine, you integrative and functional medicine, you integrative and functional medicine, you may have already done some research on may have already done some research on may have already done some research on toxicity. But a lot of us, you know, I toxicity. But a lot of us, you know, I toxicity. But a lot of us, you know, I know for me it took me time to really know for me it took me time to really know for me it took me time to really understand it to the capacity that I do understand it to the capacity that I do understand it to the capacity that I do now. But we are living in a massively, now. But we are living in a massively, now. But we are living in a massively, massively toxic world. There is toxins massively toxic world. There is toxins massively toxic world. There is toxins in everything we eat, everything we put in everything we eat, everything we put in everything we eat, everything we put on our body, our nail polish, our hair on our body, our nail polish, our hair on our body, our nail polish, our hair dye, our makeup. It's on our plates, dye, our makeup. It's on our plates, dye, our makeup. It's on our plates, it's on our pots, it's on our pans. it's on our pots, it's on our pans. it's on our pots, it's on our pans. Like, it's crazy. But I will say to you, Like, it's crazy. But I will say to you, Like, it's crazy. But I will say to you, is that, and I I'm saying this to you is that, and I I'm saying this to you is that, and I I'm saying this to you because this is one of the things that because this is one of the things that because this is one of the things that my patients say that they're like, my patients say that they're like, my patients say that they're like, "Thank you so much for easing my mind." "Thank you so much for easing my mind." "Thank you so much for easing my mind." And what I explain to my patients is And what I explain to my patients is And what I explain to my patients is that if you take the very very simple that if you take the very very simple that if you take the very very simple concept of a vacuum, if you have a concept of a vacuum, if you have a concept of a vacuum, if you have a vacuum that has a filter and you keep vacuum that has a filter and you keep vacuum that has a filter and you keep using your vacuum, your filter is going using your vacuum, your filter is going using your vacuum, your filter is going to get more and more full. And it just to get more and more full. And it just to get more and more full. And it just makes sense that eventually when the makes sense that eventually when the makes sense that eventually when the filter is full, you dump the filter and filter is full, you dump the filter and filter is full, you dump the filter and then you keep using your vacuum. But we then you keep using your vacuum. But we then you keep using your vacuum. But we don't apply that principle to our don't apply that principle to our don't apply that principle to our bodies. And our bodies are designed to bodies. And our bodies are designed to bodies. And our bodies are designed to filter out bad stuff. And that's filter out bad stuff. And that's filter out bad stuff. And that's everything from infections to toxins to everything from infections to toxins to everything from infections to toxins to mold, all that stuff. But we call it mold, all that stuff. But we call it mold, all that stuff. But we call it aging. But really what's happening over aging. But really what's happening over aging. But really what's happening over time is that our filters are getting time is that our filters are getting time is that our filters are getting more and more full. They're getting more and more full. They're getting more and more full. They're getting clogged. One of the or three of the clogged. One of the or three of the clogged. One of the or three of the major filtration systems of the body is major filtration systems of the body is major filtration systems of the body is the liver, the liver, the liver, the kidneys, and the lymphatic system. the kidneys, and the lymphatic system. the kidneys, and the lymphatic system. technically your tonsils as well. And technically your tonsils as well. And technically your tonsils as well. And your liver is also attached to your your liver is also attached to your your liver is also attached to your gallbladder, by the way. So, think about gallbladder, by the way. So, think about gallbladder, by the way. So, think about how many people get their tonsils how many people get their tonsils how many people get their tonsils removed. How many people get their removed. How many people get their removed. How many people get their gallbladder removed? Technically, your gallbladder removed? Technically, your gallbladder removed? Technically, your appendix is a filter. How many people appendix is a filter. How many people appendix is a filter. How many people get their appendix removed? So, we're get their appendix removed? So, we're get their appendix removed? So, we're actually just removing these filtration actually just removing these filtration actually just removing these filtration systems when they get really full systems when they get really full systems when they get really full opposed to using the principles of let's opposed to using the principles of let's opposed to using the principles of let's clean it out. So, it's very important clean it out. So, it's very important clean it out. So, it's very important that if you we're all going to be that if you we're all going to be that if you we're all going to be exposed to chemicals. You can't live in exposed to chemicals. You can't live in exposed to chemicals. You can't live in a bubble. You can't run away to an a bubble. You can't run away to an a bubble. You can't run away to an island. It's everywhere. But if you can island. It's everywhere. But if you can island. It's everywhere. But if you can maintain your body's ability to filter maintain your body's ability to filter maintain your body's ability to filter the bad stuff out, you don't have to the bad stuff out, you don't have to the bad stuff out, you don't have to worry. You don't have to be living in worry. You don't have to be living in worry. You don't have to be living in fear and be super anxious and, you know, fear and be super anxious and, you know, fear and be super anxious and, you know, have your kids like spray them down with have your kids like spray them down with have your kids like spray them down with hand sanitizer. It's really, really hand sanitizer. It's really, really hand sanitizer. It's really, really important for you to understand that important for you to understand that important for you to understand that it's not that complicated. It's just a it's not that complicated. It's just a it's not that complicated. It's just a matter of trying to keep the filters matter of trying to keep the filters matter of trying to keep the filters maintained. And also, there is a genetic maintained. And also, there is a genetic maintained. And also, there is a genetic layer here. Because what I mean by that layer here. Because what I mean by that layer here. Because what I mean by that is think about the people that drink is think about the people that drink is think about the people that drink like 40 cups of coffee in a day and they like 40 cups of coffee in a day and they like 40 cups of coffee in a day and they have zero issues. They're like, "Oh my have zero issues. They're like, "Oh my have zero issues. They're like, "Oh my gosh, it doesn't even fase me. I can go gosh, it doesn't even fase me. I can go gosh, it doesn't even fase me. I can go right to bed." And then there's another right to bed." And then there's another right to bed." And then there's another person that drinks one cup of coffee and person that drinks one cup of coffee and person that drinks one cup of coffee and they're wired for like 30 hours. So that they're wired for like 30 hours. So that they're wired for like 30 hours. So that has to do with the genetic makeup of has to do with the genetic makeup of has to do with the genetic makeup of your liver. So that means you're either your liver. So that means you're either your liver. So that means you're either an over metabolizer, aka your body is an over metabolizer, aka your body is an over metabolizer, aka your body is chewing up and spitting out the chewing up and spitting out the chewing up and spitting out the caffeine, or you're an under caffeine, or you're an under caffeine, or you're an under metabolizer, meaning that your your metabolizer, meaning that your your metabolizer, meaning that your your liver can't really process it. So this liver can't really process it. So this liver can't really process it. So this applies to all of your filtration applies to all of your filtration applies to all of your filtration systems. Some people have weaker systems. Some people have weaker systems. Some people have weaker kidneys, hence those are the people that kidneys, hence those are the people that kidneys, hence those are the people that have kidney stones in their family. Some have kidney stones in their family. Some have kidney stones in their family. Some people have a weaker lymphatic system. people have a weaker lymphatic system. people have a weaker lymphatic system. These are the people that get a lot of These are the people that get a lot of These are the people that get a lot of swelling. They get varicose veins. Um swelling. They get varicose veins. Um swelling. They get varicose veins. Um they have denser fibrocystic breasts. they have denser fibrocystic breasts. they have denser fibrocystic breasts. These are all signs of lymphatic These are all signs of lymphatic These are all signs of lymphatic congestion or you you can't lose weight. congestion or you you can't lose weight. congestion or you you can't lose weight. That's another big one. So, it's That's another big one. So, it's That's another big one. So, it's definitely key to understand how the definitely key to understand how the definitely key to understand how the body works because if you understand body works because if you understand body works because if you understand that, the healing process is actually that, the healing process is actually that, the healing process is actually not that difficult. So, there are over not that difficult. So, there are over not that difficult. So, there are over 55,000 chemicals that are released every 55,000 chemicals that are released every 55,000 chemicals that are released every month. Only 15 of those are actually month. Only 15 of those are actually month. Only 15 of those are actually tested for safety. Yeah, that's for tested for safety. Yeah, that's for tested for safety. Yeah, that's for real. That's scary. real. That's scary. real. That's scary. Another big one that is completely off Another big one that is completely off Another big one that is completely off of people's radar when it comes to of people's radar when it comes to of people's radar when it comes to joints is mold. And the crazy thing joints is mold. And the crazy thing joints is mold. And the crazy thing about mold is that mold can come from a about mold is that mold can come from a about mold is that mold can come from a water damaged building. But most people water damaged building. But most people water damaged building. But most people don't know if they're being exposed to don't know if they're being exposed to don't know if they're being exposed to mold in their environment. mold in their environment. mold in their environment. Then there's also a lot of mold in food. Then there's also a lot of mold in food. Then there's also a lot of mold in food. So everything from cheese, blue cheese, So everything from cheese, blue cheese, So everything from cheese, blue cheese, that blue stuff is mold, wine, coffee, that blue stuff is mold, wine, coffee, that blue stuff is mold, wine, coffee, all of these things, peanut butter, high all of these things, peanut butter, high all of these things, peanut butter, high mold foods. Then on top of it, one of mold foods. Then on top of it, one of mold foods. Then on top of it, one of the questions I always ask my patients, the questions I always ask my patients, the questions I always ask my patients, have you been exposed to mold? No, no, have you been exposed to mold? No, no, have you been exposed to mold? No, no, no. No possible way. Never been exposed no. No possible way. Never been exposed no. No possible way. Never been exposed to mold. My follow-up question is, are to mold. My follow-up question is, are to mold. My follow-up question is, are you allergic to penicellin, amoxicil, or you allergic to penicellin, amoxicil, or you allergic to penicellin, amoxicil, or ampeoin? Oh, yeah. I've been allergic to ampeoin? Oh, yeah. I've been allergic to ampeoin? Oh, yeah. I've been allergic to penicellin since I was two. And I was penicellin since I was two. And I was penicellin since I was two. And I was like, you've been moldy since you were like, you've been moldy since you were like, you've been moldy since you were two. Because penicellin and amoxicylin, two. Because penicellin and amoxicylin, two. Because penicellin and amoxicylin, anything in the sillin family, those anything in the sillin family, those anything in the sillin family, those antibiotics are made from penicyum, antibiotics are made from penicyum, antibiotics are made from penicyum, which is mold. So mold is something that which is mold. So mold is something that which is mold. So mold is something that you can get exposed to from your you can get exposed to from your you can get exposed to from your environment, from food, as well as from environment, from food, as well as from environment, from food, as well as from antibiotics. So mold is not as uncommon antibiotics. So mold is not as uncommon antibiotics. So mold is not as uncommon as people think. And in addition, if you as people think. And in addition, if you as people think. And in addition, if you look up the symptoms of mold toxicity look up the symptoms of mold toxicity look up the symptoms of mold toxicity and you compare it to the symptoms of and you compare it to the symptoms of and you compare it to the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, you will find that rheumatoid arthritis, you will find that rheumatoid arthritis, you will find that they almost are identical. they almost are identical. they almost are identical. So it is very very important for you to So it is very very important for you to So it is very very important for you to rule in or out is mold part of your rule in or out is mold part of your rule in or out is mold part of your puzzle when it comes to rheumatoid puzzle when it comes to rheumatoid puzzle when it comes to rheumatoid arthritis. arthritis. arthritis. So, outside of mold, when it comes to So, outside of mold, when it comes to So, outside of mold, when it comes to the other toxins, the most common things the other toxins, the most common things the other toxins, the most common things I see are heavy metals, mercury, I see are heavy metals, mercury, I see are heavy metals, mercury, aluminum, silver, arsenic. Um, arsenic aluminum, silver, arsenic. Um, arsenic aluminum, silver, arsenic. Um, arsenic is in brown rice, it's in brown rice is in brown rice, it's in brown rice is in brown rice, it's in brown rice syrup, yes, kind bars. Um, benzines are syrup, yes, kind bars. Um, benzines are syrup, yes, kind bars. Um, benzines are in tons of our detergents, our fabrics, in tons of our detergents, our fabrics, in tons of our detergents, our fabrics, the clothes that we wear, the couch that the clothes that we wear, the couch that the clothes that we wear, the couch that we lay on. And then there is a lot of we lay on. And then there is a lot of we lay on. And then there is a lot of toxins just in antibiotics as well. Um, toxins just in antibiotics as well. Um, toxins just in antibiotics as well. Um, and that's not I shouldn't even say and that's not I shouldn't even say and that's not I shouldn't even say antibiotics because most people don't antibiotics because most people don't antibiotics because most people don't know that there is fluoride, aluminum, know that there is fluoride, aluminum, know that there is fluoride, aluminum, gluten in most of our medications. If gluten in most of our medications. If gluten in most of our medications. If you actually looked at the ingredient you actually looked at the ingredient you actually looked at the ingredient list of your synthroidid, synthroidid list of your synthroidid, synthroidid list of your synthroidid, synthroidid has gluten in it, just so you know. So, has gluten in it, just so you know. So, has gluten in it, just so you know. So, if you're celiac taking cthroidid, if you're celiac taking cthroidid, if you're celiac taking cthroidid, no good. You're actually screwing no good. You're actually screwing no good. You're actually screwing yourself up pretty bad. But yourself up pretty bad. But yourself up pretty bad. But unfortunately, most endocrinologists unfortunately, most endocrinologists unfortunately, most endocrinologists don't even know that that cynthroidid don't even know that that cynthroidid don't even know that that cynthroidid has gluten in it. So these are has gluten in it. So these are has gluten in it. So these are definitely things to be really aware of definitely things to be really aware of definitely things to be really aware of is to understand, you know, you might be is to understand, you know, you might be is to understand, you know, you might be missing various pieces of the puzzle to missing various pieces of the puzzle to missing various pieces of the puzzle to your healing process. your healing process. your healing process. Okay. So the emotional piece. So I I Okay. So the emotional piece. So I I Okay. So the emotional piece. So I I told you guys a story a little bit about told you guys a story a little bit about told you guys a story a little bit about this woman who was dealing with grief. this woman who was dealing with grief. this woman who was dealing with grief. So it's very interesting because this is So it's very interesting because this is So it's very interesting because this is actually the research of Dr. D. Martini. actually the research of Dr. D. Martini. actually the research of Dr. D. Martini. Um and D. Martini is one of my personal Um and D. Martini is one of my personal Um and D. Martini is one of my personal mentors as well as my husband, Dr. Nick. mentors as well as my husband, Dr. Nick. mentors as well as my husband, Dr. Nick. And um some of the interesting things And um some of the interesting things And um some of the interesting things that we learned from him is that very that we learned from him is that very that we learned from him is that very specific joint issues can be tied to specific joint issues can be tied to specific joint issues can be tied to very specific emotions. So as an very specific emotions. So as an very specific emotions. So as an example, your hands can be associated to example, your hands can be associated to example, your hands can be associated to what are you holding on to? Is there a what are you holding on to? Is there a what are you holding on to? Is there a toxic relationship you're holding on to? toxic relationship you're holding on to? toxic relationship you're holding on to? Is it the job you hate that you're Is it the job you hate that you're Is it the job you hate that you're holding on to? Is it grief that you're holding on to? Is it grief that you're holding on to? Is it grief that you're holding on to? holding on to? holding on to? Then when it comes to ankle and knee Then when it comes to ankle and knee Then when it comes to ankle and knee pain, sometimes this is connected to, pain, sometimes this is connected to, pain, sometimes this is connected to, you know, being scared of taking that you know, being scared of taking that you know, being scared of taking that first step, being scared of moving first step, being scared of moving first step, being scared of moving forward. And these have a lot of forward. And these have a lot of forward. And these have a lot of synergies to, you know, being scared of synergies to, you know, being scared of synergies to, you know, being scared of leaving the job, leaving the spouse, you leaving the job, leaving the spouse, you leaving the job, leaving the spouse, you know, making that big move, becoming the know, making that big move, becoming the know, making that big move, becoming the entrepreneur or whatever the case may entrepreneur or whatever the case may entrepreneur or whatever the case may be. And then when it comes to even the be. And then when it comes to even the be. And then when it comes to even the shoulder pain, this can be tied to what shoulder pain, this can be tied to what shoulder pain, this can be tied to what are you tired of holding the weight of? are you tired of holding the weight of? are you tired of holding the weight of? Are you holding the weight of, you know, Are you holding the weight of, you know, Are you holding the weight of, you know, all of the family problems that all of the family problems that all of the family problems that everybody is dealing with? Are you everybody is dealing with? Are you everybody is dealing with? Are you holding the weight of taking care of holding the weight of taking care of holding the weight of taking care of everyone in your family? Are you holding everyone in your family? Are you holding everyone in your family? Are you holding the weight of everybody else's problems the weight of everybody else's problems the weight of everybody else's problems because everybody comes to you to vent because everybody comes to you to vent because everybody comes to you to vent or get advice? There is a lot of issues or get advice? There is a lot of issues or get advice? There is a lot of issues that can happen in our body that are due that can happen in our body that are due that can happen in our body that are due to these emotional things that we are to these emotional things that we are to these emotional things that we are not willing to acknowledge and address. not willing to acknowledge and address. not willing to acknowledge and address. So the last thing here is the So the last thing here is the So the last thing here is the neurological piece. So I mentioned when neurological piece. So I mentioned when neurological piece. So I mentioned when you have this migrating pain, a lot of you have this migrating pain, a lot of you have this migrating pain, a lot of this can be tied to a brain dysfunction. this can be tied to a brain dysfunction. this can be tied to a brain dysfunction. And it's not just about migraating pain. And it's not just about migraating pain. And it's not just about migraating pain. It could be phantom pain of like, I It could be phantom pain of like, I It could be phantom pain of like, I don't understand why my arm hurts. I don't understand why my arm hurts. I don't understand why my arm hurts. I didn't do anything to it. I didn't bump didn't do anything to it. I didn't bump didn't do anything to it. I didn't bump it. Or you have very sensitive skin. it. Or you have very sensitive skin. it. Or you have very sensitive skin. It's almost like your spouse rolls over It's almost like your spouse rolls over It's almost like your spouse rolls over and, you know, kind of barely touches and, you know, kind of barely touches and, you know, kind of barely touches you and you're like, "Ow." Or you find you and you're like, "Ow." Or you find you and you're like, "Ow." Or you find that you're very clumsy. You're bumping that you're very clumsy. You're bumping that you're very clumsy. You're bumping into things. You're finding bruises on into things. You're finding bruises on into things. You're finding bruises on yourself because you're always, you yourself because you're always, you yourself because you're always, you know, bumping into things falling over. know, bumping into things falling over. know, bumping into things falling over. The another one can be constipation. I'm The another one can be constipation. I'm The another one can be constipation. I'm going to connect these dots so you going to connect these dots so you going to connect these dots so you understand it better. Uh, another thing understand it better. Uh, another thing understand it better. Uh, another thing is neuropathy, especially if you have is neuropathy, especially if you have is neuropathy, especially if you have burning, numbness, tingling in your burning, numbness, tingling in your burning, numbness, tingling in your hands and feet that is not tied to hands and feet that is not tied to hands and feet that is not tied to diabetes or blood sugar issues. And diabetes or blood sugar issues. And diabetes or blood sugar issues. And another factor is weakness. You're another factor is weakness. You're another factor is weakness. You're having trouble getting upstairs. You're having trouble getting upstairs. You're having trouble getting upstairs. You're having trouble opening jars. You're having trouble opening jars. You're having trouble opening jars. You're having trouble getting up out of a having trouble getting up out of a having trouble getting up out of a seated position. All of these things can seated position. All of these things can seated position. All of these things can be tied to your pain stemming from the be tied to your pain stemming from the be tied to your pain stemming from the brain. And that's why it can drive you brain. And that's why it can drive you brain. And that's why it can drive you crazy because there's no rhyme or crazy because there's no rhyme or crazy because there's no rhyme or reason. Oh, my elbow hurts today. Oh, my reason. Oh, my elbow hurts today. Oh, my reason. Oh, my elbow hurts today. Oh, my neck hurts. Oh, now it's my knee. And neck hurts. Oh, now it's my knee. And neck hurts. Oh, now it's my knee. And you're just like, "What is wrong with you're just like, "What is wrong with you're just like, "What is wrong with me?" So, the neurological piece can come me?" So, the neurological piece can come me?" So, the neurological piece can come from brain injury, which could be from brain injury, which could be from brain injury, which could be concussion, or can be a car accident, or concussion, or can be a car accident, or concussion, or can be a car accident, or it could have been even just a minor it could have been even just a minor it could have been even just a minor bump on the head. It can also come from bump on the head. It can also come from bump on the head. It can also come from blood flow issues. Um, blood flow blood flow issues. Um, blood flow blood flow issues. Um, blood flow issues. Um, if you are curious about issues. Um, if you are curious about issues. Um, if you are curious about that and and if you've ever heard of that and and if you've ever heard of that and and if you've ever heard of something called vascular dementia, you something called vascular dementia, you something called vascular dementia, you should definitely listen to our podcast should definitely listen to our podcast should definitely listen to our podcast that's on our website about it because I that's on our website about it because I that's on our website about it because I dive really deep into people that suffer dive really deep into people that suffer dive really deep into people that suffer from brain fog, memory loss, which could from brain fog, memory loss, which could from brain fog, memory loss, which could potentially turn into dementia or they potentially turn into dementia or they potentially turn into dementia or they even have even have even have um, thank you. [laughter] um, thank you. [laughter] um, thank you. [laughter] They even have migraines or headaches. They even have migraines or headaches. They even have migraines or headaches. This can actually be associated with This can actually be associated with This can actually be associated with vascular issues to the brain which can vascular issues to the brain which can vascular issues to the brain which can then lead to neurological pain. And then then lead to neurological pain. And then then lead to neurological pain. And then the other piece is blood sugar the other piece is blood sugar the other piece is blood sugar instability. I'm not necessarily talking instability. I'm not necessarily talking instability. I'm not necessarily talking about you being a diabetic, but I'm about you being a diabetic, but I'm about you being a diabetic, but I'm talking about your insulin not working talking about your insulin not working talking about your insulin not working uh very well because your pancreas is uh very well because your pancreas is uh very well because your pancreas is stressed or the fact that you're low stressed or the fact that you're low stressed or the fact that you're low blood sugar, hypoglycemic. blood sugar, hypoglycemic. blood sugar, hypoglycemic. Those are the people that never eat Those are the people that never eat Those are the people that never eat breakfast. They're nauseous in the breakfast. They're nauseous in the breakfast. They're nauseous in the morning, then they drink coffee, then morning, then they drink coffee, then morning, then they drink coffee, then they suppress their appetite, then they they suppress their appetite, then they they suppress their appetite, then they crave carbs, then they want midday crave carbs, then they want midday crave carbs, then they want midday coffee, and then they want sugar after coffee, and then they want sugar after coffee, and then they want sugar after dinner. How many of you guys can relate dinner. How many of you guys can relate dinner. How many of you guys can relate to that? So, this is really, really to that? So, this is really, really to that? So, this is really, really significant for you guys to understand significant for you guys to understand significant for you guys to understand that sometimes your pain can stem from that sometimes your pain can stem from that sometimes your pain can stem from the top down, not always the bottom up. the top down, not always the bottom up. the top down, not always the bottom up. Pain in my lower back, does it have Pain in my lower back, does it have Pain in my lower back, does it have meaning? Um, so pain in the lower back meaning? Um, so pain in the lower back meaning? Um, so pain in the lower back can definitely have a lot of meaning, can definitely have a lot of meaning, can definitely have a lot of meaning, but your nerves in your lower back do go but your nerves in your lower back do go but your nerves in your lower back do go to a lot. So it kind of depends on which to a lot. So it kind of depends on which to a lot. So it kind of depends on which part of your lower back because those part of your lower back because those part of your lower back because those nerves go to your gut and then some of nerves go to your gut and then some of nerves go to your gut and then some of those nerves also go to the reproductive those nerves also go to the reproductive those nerves also go to the reproductive organs. So with the reproductive organs, organs. So with the reproductive organs, organs. So with the reproductive organs, if there is like any type of like shame if there is like any type of like shame if there is like any type of like shame or or um resentment around sexuality um or or um resentment around sexuality um or or um resentment around sexuality um or if there was any type of sexual or if there was any type of sexual or if there was any type of sexual trauma that can be correlated to low trauma that can be correlated to low trauma that can be correlated to low back pain. And then with the gut, the back pain. And then with the gut, the back pain. And then with the gut, the gut actually is tied to something called gut actually is tied to something called gut actually is tied to something called your solar plexus, which has a lot to do your solar plexus, which has a lot to do your solar plexus, which has a lot to do with self-identity. self-identity is not with self-identity. self-identity is not with self-identity. self-identity is not necessarily associated with like oh you necessarily associated with like oh you necessarily associated with like oh you don't know who you are but it could be don't know who you are but it could be don't know who you are but it could be that um people are telling you how you that um people are telling you how you that um people are telling you how you should act people are telling you you should act people are telling you you should act people are telling you you know what you should do with your life know what you should do with your life know what you should do with your life and you know you get conflicted on your and you know you get conflicted on your and you know you get conflicted on your purpose so there's many interpretations purpose so there's many interpretations purpose so there's many interpretations so when somebody comes in and this comes so when somebody comes in and this comes so when somebody comes in and this comes to the surface we obviously dive in and to the surface we obviously dive in and to the surface we obviously dive in and ask a lot of better questions to really ask a lot of better questions to really ask a lot of better questions to really understand this this deeper so they're understand this this deeper so they're understand this this deeper so they're definitely definitely can be some definitely definitely can be some definitely definitely can be some significant ties to low back pain when significant ties to low back pain when significant ties to low back pain when it comes to the emotional piece. it comes to the emotional piece. it comes to the emotional piece. Okay, so this is another rheumatoid uh Okay, so this is another rheumatoid uh Okay, so this is another rheumatoid uh story. So this is a little bit different story. So this is a little bit different story. So this is a little bit different than the story that I told early on that than the story that I told early on that than the story that I told early on that was tied more to this emotional layer. was tied more to this emotional layer. was tied more to this emotional layer. Um this was a person that she was Um this was a person that she was Um this was a person that she was diagnosed with uh rheumatoid arthritis diagnosed with uh rheumatoid arthritis diagnosed with uh rheumatoid arthritis actually after about 20 years of joint actually after about 20 years of joint actually after about 20 years of joint pain. So the joint pain was was there. pain. So the joint pain was was there. pain. So the joint pain was was there. It definitely got worse. it ebbed, it It definitely got worse. it ebbed, it It definitely got worse. it ebbed, it flowed, and then they were like, "Well, flowed, and then they were like, "Well, flowed, and then they were like, "Well, your rheumatoid marker is not that high, your rheumatoid marker is not that high, your rheumatoid marker is not that high, but it has to be rheumatoid arthritis but it has to be rheumatoid arthritis but it has to be rheumatoid arthritis because that's the way your symptoms because that's the way your symptoms because that's the way your symptoms present." So, other things that were present." So, other things that were present." So, other things that were going on were brain fog, gut issues, going on were brain fog, gut issues, going on were brain fog, gut issues, anger, irritability, celiac disease, and anger, irritability, celiac disease, and anger, irritability, celiac disease, and a variety of other types of food a variety of other types of food a variety of other types of food allergies. So, as we dove in, this allergies. So, as we dove in, this allergies. So, as we dove in, this person specifically had their tonsils person specifically had their tonsils person specifically had their tonsils removed at four years old due to chronic removed at four years old due to chronic removed at four years old due to chronic sore throats. um before getting the sore throats. um before getting the sore throats. um before getting the tonsils removed, had a ton of antibiotic tonsils removed, had a ton of antibiotic tonsils removed, had a ton of antibiotic use because of the sore throats and also use because of the sore throats and also use because of the sore throats and also upper respiratory infections. So upper respiratory infections. So upper respiratory infections. So throughout this, the child was still throughout this, the child was still throughout this, the child was still really really active, playing a ton of really really active, playing a ton of really really active, playing a ton of sports which then resulted in some sports which then resulted in some sports which then resulted in some injuries, you know, no big deal. That's injuries, you know, no big deal. That's injuries, you know, no big deal. That's what happens. Um also grew up close to what happens. Um also grew up close to what happens. Um also grew up close to farms which is significant because of a farms which is significant because of a farms which is significant because of a lot of the spraying of pesticides. lot of the spraying of pesticides. lot of the spraying of pesticides. And then also had childhood eczema which And then also had childhood eczema which And then also had childhood eczema which then came back later as an adult. Um, it then came back later as an adult. Um, it then came back later as an adult. Um, it wasn't bad as an adult. It kind of came wasn't bad as an adult. It kind of came wasn't bad as an adult. It kind of came and went and it usually coincided with and went and it usually coincided with and went and it usually coincided with when the joints were really flaring. So, when the joints were really flaring. So, when the joints were really flaring. So, to break this down and make this all to break this down and make this all to break this down and make this all significant. So, we talked about strep significant. So, we talked about strep significant. So, we talked about strep and infections being part of the puzzle and infections being part of the puzzle and infections being part of the puzzle for these types of joint issues and for these types of joint issues and for these types of joint issues and conditions like rheumatoid arthritis. So conditions like rheumatoid arthritis. So conditions like rheumatoid arthritis. So this person they were told that their this person they were told that their this person they were told that their sore throats were not strep but my sore throats were not strep but my sore throats were not strep but my testing showed that their sore throats testing showed that their sore throats testing showed that their sore throats were strep because all the strep was were strep because all the strep was were strep because all the strep was still in all of the lymph nodes of the still in all of the lymph nodes of the still in all of the lymph nodes of the neck and that was also in the joints. neck and that was also in the joints. neck and that was also in the joints. Then on top of it all the antibiotic use Then on top of it all the antibiotic use Then on top of it all the antibiotic use weakened the connective tissue which weakened the connective tissue which weakened the connective tissue which caused a lot of the injuries. So then caused a lot of the injuries. So then caused a lot of the injuries. So then the injuries caused a lot of the scar the injuries caused a lot of the scar the injuries caused a lot of the scar tissue and that created a whole another tissue and that created a whole another tissue and that created a whole another array of type of or a whole another array of type of or a whole another array of type of or a whole another facet to the joint pain. Then there was facet to the joint pain. Then there was facet to the joint pain. Then there was a toxicity piece because of pesticides a toxicity piece because of pesticides a toxicity piece because of pesticides that were in the water in the air in the that were in the water in the air in the that were in the water in the air in the soil. And then the eczema. So the eczema soil. And then the eczema. So the eczema soil. And then the eczema. So the eczema was interesting because the eczema was was interesting because the eczema was was interesting because the eczema was tied to some of the antibiotic use and tied to some of the antibiotic use and tied to some of the antibiotic use and the gut being really off as a child. But the gut being really off as a child. But the gut being really off as a child. But as an adult, when the eczema came back, as an adult, when the eczema came back, as an adult, when the eczema came back, it wasn't eczema, it was actually it wasn't eczema, it was actually it wasn't eczema, it was actually psoriasis. psoriasis. psoriasis. And the person based off of my testing And the person based off of my testing And the person based off of my testing didn't really have rheumatoid arthritis, didn't really have rheumatoid arthritis, didn't really have rheumatoid arthritis, actually had the early stages of actually had the early stages of actually had the early stages of seroriatic arthropathy, which is seroriatic arthropathy, which is seroriatic arthropathy, which is seriatic arthritis. So this is really seriatic arthritis. So this is really seriatic arthritis. So this is really important because a lot of times they important because a lot of times they important because a lot of times they when the testing is not super black and when the testing is not super black and when the testing is not super black and white maybe your rheumatoid factor is white maybe your rheumatoid factor is white maybe your rheumatoid factor is borderline [clears throat] borderline [clears throat] borderline [clears throat] and they don't really know what's going and they don't really know what's going and they don't really know what's going on. They'll just say well you have on. They'll just say well you have on. They'll just say well you have rheumatoid that's the only thing that it rheumatoid that's the only thing that it rheumatoid that's the only thing that it can be because that's the what your can be because that's the what your can be because that's the what your symptoms look like but it easily can be symptoms look like but it easily can be symptoms look like but it easily can be something else. So, it's just very something else. So, it's just very something else. So, it's just very important for you to kind of understand important for you to kind of understand important for you to kind of understand that your diagnosis is not necessarily a that your diagnosis is not necessarily a that your diagnosis is not necessarily a [laughter] definitive and it's not [laughter] definitive and it's not [laughter] definitive and it's not necessarily going to be the end- all necessarily going to be the end- all necessarily going to be the end- all beall and it's not about one thing. This beall and it's not about one thing. This beall and it's not about one thing. This person had a cascade of things that led person had a cascade of things that led person had a cascade of things that led them down the road of having the these them down the road of having the these them down the road of having the these issues and having this arthritis. This issues and having this arthritis. This issues and having this arthritis. This was toxicity related. This was was toxicity related. This was was toxicity related. This was antibiotic related. This was infection antibiotic related. This was infection antibiotic related. This was infection related and this person it was very related and this person it was very related and this person it was very fascinating because they actually didn't fascinating because they actually didn't fascinating because they actually didn't have Lyme disease. They had strep as an have Lyme disease. They had strep as an have Lyme disease. They had strep as an infection but also ended up having infection but also ended up having infection but also ended up having syphilis in their system. And I actually syphilis in their system. And I actually syphilis in their system. And I actually just did a podcast about this because just did a podcast about this because just did a podcast about this because first of all everybody thinks syphilis first of all everybody thinks syphilis first of all everybody thinks syphilis is strictly um sexually transmitted. It is strictly um sexually transmitted. It is strictly um sexually transmitted. It is not. By the way, syphilis is very is not. By the way, syphilis is very is not. By the way, syphilis is very very very similar to Lyme disease under very very similar to Lyme disease under very very similar to Lyme disease under a microscope. And syphilis is also known a microscope. And syphilis is also known a microscope. And syphilis is also known as the great imitator of psoriasis. as the great imitator of psoriasis. as the great imitator of psoriasis. So if you have psoriasis or seroriatic So if you have psoriasis or seroriatic So if you have psoriasis or seroriatic arthritis, get tested for syphilis arthritis, get tested for syphilis arthritis, get tested for syphilis because that might be part of the because that might be part of the because that might be part of the puzzle. puzzle. puzzle. So with this story and my previous So with this story and my previous So with this story and my previous story, the point of me telling you guys story, the point of me telling you guys story, the point of me telling you guys this is that you don't know what you this is that you don't know what you this is that you don't know what you don't know. You don't know what you don't know. You don't know what you don't know. You don't know what you don't know unless you do better testing. don't know unless you do better testing. don't know unless you do better testing. Unless you dig deeper. It is impossible Unless you dig deeper. It is impossible Unless you dig deeper. It is impossible for you to understand the bigger picture for you to understand the bigger picture for you to understand the bigger picture and to understand how there are various and to understand how there are various and to understand how there are various pieces to the puzzle. And it's not that pieces to the puzzle. And it's not that pieces to the puzzle. And it's not that you just have a an inflammatory you just have a an inflammatory you just have a an inflammatory condition that just happened out of condition that just happened out of condition that just happened out of nowhere because you have a bad immune nowhere because you have a bad immune nowhere because you have a bad immune system. That's not what happens. Your system. That's not what happens. Your system. That's not what happens. Your body has stressors that it reacts to. body has stressors that it reacts to. body has stressors that it reacts to. So, it's very important for us to just So, it's very important for us to just So, it's very important for us to just not settle. Let's not settle for this not settle. Let's not settle for this not settle. Let's not settle for this inflammatory diagnosis and let's not inflammatory diagnosis and let's not inflammatory diagnosis and let's not settle for just saying I'm going to shut settle for just saying I'm going to shut settle for just saying I'm going to shut down my immune system with down my immune system with down my immune system with imunosuppressants. imunosuppressants. imunosuppressants. It's a matter of knowing that there are It's a matter of knowing that there are It's a matter of knowing that there are other alternatives out there and to other alternatives out there and to other alternatives out there and to really stop just accepting this as my really stop just accepting this as my really stop just accepting this as my normal. Oh, okay. I'm just going to normal. Oh, okay. I'm just going to normal. Oh, okay. I'm just going to navigate around it. So, a lot of us, you navigate around it. So, a lot of us, you navigate around it. So, a lot of us, you know, I know feel that we're not really know, I know feel that we're not really know, I know feel that we're not really in control. And at the end of the day, in control. And at the end of the day, in control. And at the end of the day, if you understand the root cause of your if you understand the root cause of your if you understand the root cause of your pain, of your rheumatoid arthritis, of pain, of your rheumatoid arthritis, of pain, of your rheumatoid arthritis, of your fibromyalgia, of whatever it is, your fibromyalgia, of whatever it is, your fibromyalgia, of whatever it is, then anything is possible because the then anything is possible because the then anything is possible because the first step is knowing what is the actual first step is knowing what is the actual first step is knowing what is the actual root cause. root cause. root cause. And as you could see with the some of And as you could see with the some of And as you could see with the some of the stories I've told you is that very the stories I've told you is that very the stories I've told you is that very rarely is the root cause matching a rarely is the root cause matching a rarely is the root cause matching a textbook. Very rarely does your blood textbook. Very rarely does your blood textbook. Very rarely does your blood work back match the textbook. Very work back match the textbook. Very work back match the textbook. Very rarely do your symptoms match the rarely do your symptoms match the rarely do your symptoms match the textbook. So if you don't look like the textbook. So if you don't look like the textbook. So if you don't look like the textbook, we can't use the textbook textbook, we can't use the textbook textbook, we can't use the textbook protocol. We need to think outside of protocol. We need to think outside of protocol. We need to think outside of the textbook because your body is going the textbook because your body is going the textbook because your body is going to have a completely different set of to have a completely different set of to have a completely different set of needs and it's going to need a needs and it's going to need a needs and it's going to need a completely different protocol than completely different protocol than completely different protocol than someone else who potentially has the someone else who potentially has the someone else who potentially has the same diagnosis. same diagnosis. same diagnosis. So with that when it comes to how do we So with that when it comes to how do we So with that when it comes to how do we figure all of this out that's always figure all of this out that's always figure all of this out that's always people's questions like okay what like people's questions like okay what like people's questions like okay what like what is all this crazy testing that you what is all this crazy testing that you what is all this crazy testing that you guys do. So I want to first of all guys do. So I want to first of all guys do. So I want to first of all before I go into that clarify the before I go into that clarify the before I go into that clarify the difference between functional and difference between functional and difference between functional and integrative medicine because I know that integrative medicine because I know that integrative medicine because I know that there is confusion and people don't there is confusion and people don't there is confusion and people don't understand like the difference and some understand like the difference and some understand like the difference and some people are brand new to the idea of people are brand new to the idea of people are brand new to the idea of either one. So functional medicine is an either one. So functional medicine is an either one. So functional medicine is an amazing modality and it is something amazing modality and it is something amazing modality and it is something that that's where I started as a that that's where I started as a that that's where I started as a physician is I started doing functional physician is I started doing functional physician is I started doing functional medicine. I did a lot of testing um medicine. I did a lot of testing um medicine. I did a lot of testing um stool samples, saliva samples, nasal stool samples, saliva samples, nasal stool samples, saliva samples, nasal swabs, inflammatory tests, blood work. I swabs, inflammatory tests, blood work. I swabs, inflammatory tests, blood work. I I did all of it and then I had to kind I did all of it and then I had to kind I did all of it and then I had to kind of hope that I would have enough of hope that I would have enough of hope that I would have enough information to be able to then set you information to be able to then set you information to be able to then set you up with a protocol. But the protocol was up with a protocol. But the protocol was up with a protocol. But the protocol was diet and supplement related. And as I diet and supplement related. And as I diet and supplement related. And as I saw voids with that approach, I moved saw voids with that approach, I moved saw voids with that approach, I moved into this integrative medicine sector into this integrative medicine sector into this integrative medicine sector which is going to use more elaborate which is going to use more elaborate which is going to use more elaborate testing to dig deeper and also to then testing to dig deeper and also to then testing to dig deeper and also to then be able to set up a way to heal that is be able to set up a way to heal that is be able to set up a way to heal that is beyond just diet and supplements. And beyond just diet and supplements. And beyond just diet and supplements. And it's looking at does your body need it's looking at does your body need it's looking at does your body need physical work? Does your body need physical work? Does your body need physical work? Does your body need neurological work? Do we need to help to neurological work? Do we need to help to neurological work? Do we need to help to improve your blood flow to your brain improve your blood flow to your brain improve your blood flow to your brain because that's causing your pain? Do we because that's causing your pain? Do we because that's causing your pain? Do we need to balance your blood sugar because need to balance your blood sugar because need to balance your blood sugar because that's causing your inflammation? We that's causing your inflammation? We that's causing your inflammation? We need to look at all of those factors and need to look at all of those factors and need to look at all of those factors and make sure that we're not wasting time make sure that we're not wasting time make sure that we're not wasting time and money essentially. and money essentially. and money essentially. What if my stressors were addressed and What if my stressors were addressed and What if my stressors were addressed and tested, but the rheumatoid factor is tested, but the rheumatoid factor is tested, but the rheumatoid factor is still high? still high? still high? then they just haven't figured out what then they just haven't figured out what then they just haven't figured out what is the foundational problem. Um, when is the foundational problem. Um, when is the foundational problem. Um, when and I don't know how long you've been on and I don't know how long you've been on and I don't know how long you've been on High View, but if you listened to the High View, but if you listened to the High View, but if you listened to the piece about the filtration systems and piece about the filtration systems and piece about the filtration systems and your detox pathways that might be your detox pathways that might be your detox pathways that might be playing a role because you might not be playing a role because you might not be playing a role because you might not be able to get the things out of your body able to get the things out of your body able to get the things out of your body that are actually causing inflammation. that are actually causing inflammation. that are actually causing inflammation. And this is going to cut me off, guys, And this is going to cut me off, guys, And this is going to cut me off, guys, that are on um Instagram live. if I only that are on um Instagram live. if I only that are on um Instagram live. if I only have 45 seconds left on here because it have 45 seconds left on here because it have 45 seconds left on here because it cuts me off. But if you do want the full cuts me off. But if you do want the full cuts me off. But if you do want the full webinar, uh, send me a direct message webinar, uh, send me a direct message webinar, uh, send me a direct message with your email and I will get you the with your email and I will get you the with your email and I will get you the full webinar. Um, and then you guys can full webinar. Um, and then you guys can full webinar. Um, and then you guys can also set up a strategy call with our also set up a strategy call with our also set up a strategy call with our team if you have more questions. So, but team if you have more questions. So, but team if you have more questions. So, but thank you for being with us and thanks thank you for being with us and thanks thank you for being with us and thanks for asking really good questions. for asking really good questions. for asking really good questions. Okay guys, on my webinar. So with that Okay guys, on my webinar. So with that Okay guys, on my webinar. So with that being said, um when it comes to the being said, um when it comes to the being said, um when it comes to the testing, so I used to do all of those testing, so I used to do all of those testing, so I used to do all of those tests that I mentioned, stool samples, tests that I mentioned, stool samples, tests that I mentioned, stool samples, saliva test, etc. And none of those are saliva test, etc. And none of those are saliva test, etc. And none of those are covered by insurance, by the way. And I covered by insurance, by the way. And I covered by insurance, by the way. And I felt I didn't feel good about having felt I didn't feel good about having felt I didn't feel good about having someone come in and then giving them a someone come in and then giving them a someone come in and then giving them a variety of different kits that cost variety of different kits that cost variety of different kits that cost thousands of dollars that potentially thousands of dollars that potentially thousands of dollars that potentially could or could not give me information. could or could not give me information. could or could not give me information. So, we shifted how we do things. And I'm So, we shifted how we do things. And I'm So, we shifted how we do things. And I'm going to talk more about some of the going to talk more about some of the going to talk more about some of the technologies that we use. And when it technologies that we use. And when it technologies that we use. And when it comes to our practice, we really have comes to our practice, we really have comes to our practice, we really have aimed to keep our testing costs as low aimed to keep our testing costs as low aimed to keep our testing costs as low as possible so that you can actually as possible so that you can actually as possible so that you can actually spend money on getting better. But spend money on getting better. But spend money on getting better. But because of the way that we look at the because of the way that we look at the because of the way that we look at the body and because we want to ask better body and because we want to ask better body and because we want to ask better questions, spend time with you, dig questions, spend time with you, dig questions, spend time with you, dig deeper, deeper, deeper, we cannot necessarily work with we cannot necessarily work with we cannot necessarily work with insurance companies because we choose to insurance companies because we choose to insurance companies because we choose to serve you. We don't necessarily choose serve you. We don't necessarily choose serve you. We don't necessarily choose to serve the insurance company because to serve the insurance company because to serve the insurance company because if we served them, we would only be able if we served them, we would only be able if we served them, we would only be able to spend approximately 15 minutes with to spend approximately 15 minutes with to spend approximately 15 minutes with you. So overall, I know that that's not you. So overall, I know that that's not you. So overall, I know that that's not always, you know, everyone's favorite always, you know, everyone's favorite always, you know, everyone's favorite thing to hear, but I promise you this thing to hear, but I promise you this thing to hear, but I promise you this will be the most well spent money that will be the most well spent money that will be the most well spent money that you have ever invested in yourself. You you have ever invested in yourself. You you have ever invested in yourself. You will be able to get clarity. You will will be able to get clarity. You will will be able to get clarity. You will walk away being like, I know exactly walk away being like, I know exactly walk away being like, I know exactly what's going on with my body. But you what's going on with my body. But you what's going on with my body. But you will also be able to walk away with a will also be able to walk away with a will also be able to walk away with a plan that is going to give you results plan that is going to give you results plan that is going to give you results in less than three months which is in less than three months which is in less than three months which is unheard of. So definitely it is unheard of. So definitely it is unheard of. So definitely it is something to look further into but we do something to look further into but we do something to look further into but we do accept FSAs, HSAs um and then also most accept FSAs, HSAs um and then also most accept FSAs, HSAs um and then also most people get great reimbursement for their people get great reimbursement for their people get great reimbursement for their out of network coverage. And you know, I out of network coverage. And you know, I out of network coverage. And you know, I think one of the things we also forget think one of the things we also forget think one of the things we also forget when we're talking about this insurance when we're talking about this insurance when we're talking about this insurance conversation is, you know, we forget conversation is, you know, we forget conversation is, you know, we forget that healthcare is about answers and that healthcare is about answers and that healthcare is about answers and solutions and we settle for like, okay, solutions and we settle for like, okay, solutions and we settle for like, okay, I didn't have to pay a lot. I went to I didn't have to pay a lot. I went to I didn't have to pay a lot. I went to and, you know, I had either it was free and, you know, I had either it was free and, you know, I had either it was free or I paid my co-ay and we almost like or I paid my co-ay and we almost like or I paid my co-ay and we almost like allow for us to walk away without any allow for us to walk away without any allow for us to walk away without any answers and then we walk away with the answers and then we walk away with the answers and then we walk away with the only solution being a medication or a only solution being a medication or a only solution being a medication or a surgery. And I think that we need to surgery. And I think that we need to surgery. And I think that we need to start asking more. We need to demand start asking more. We need to demand start asking more. We need to demand more out of our health care because this more out of our health care because this more out of our health care because this is especially in this pain world. This is especially in this pain world. This is especially in this pain world. This is what's getting our children into is what's getting our children into is what's getting our children into trouble. This is the epidemic of heroin trouble. This is the epidemic of heroin trouble. This is the epidemic of heroin right now. These painkillers are making right now. These painkillers are making right now. These painkillers are making our kids addicted and then they're our kids addicted and then they're our kids addicted and then they're seeking out the same high on the street. seeking out the same high on the street. seeking out the same high on the street. This is a very very scary thing. And This is a very very scary thing. And This is a very very scary thing. And from my hometown, from my hometown, from my hometown, I have heard of 30 people that have died I have heard of 30 people that have died I have heard of 30 people that have died from heroin overdose. And these are from heroin overdose. And these are from heroin overdose. And these are people that I I knew from school that people that I I knew from school that people that I I knew from school that were jocks and varsity football players. were jocks and varsity football players. were jocks and varsity football players. Like these are people that I remember Like these are people that I remember Like these are people that I remember going wakeboarding with them and like going wakeboarding with them and like going wakeboarding with them and like they were amazing people that had an they were amazing people that had an they were amazing people that had an injury, were put on painkillers, and it injury, were put on painkillers, and it injury, were put on painkillers, and it spiraled. So it's very dear to my heart spiraled. So it's very dear to my heart spiraled. So it's very dear to my heart for people to know that there are other for people to know that there are other for people to know that there are other options out there and these are some of options out there and these are some of options out there and these are some of the options. So when it comes to our the options. So when it comes to our the options. So when it comes to our blood work. We run rheumatoid markers, blood work. We run rheumatoid markers, blood work. We run rheumatoid markers, we do the Vectra scan, we look at you we do the Vectra scan, we look at you we do the Vectra scan, we look at you know um seriatic markers, we look at know um seriatic markers, we look at know um seriatic markers, we look at inflammatory markers. We look at all inflammatory markers. We look at all inflammatory markers. We look at all that great stuff. But we also use some that great stuff. But we also use some that great stuff. But we also use some very customized technologies to evaluate very customized technologies to evaluate very customized technologies to evaluate for toxicity, to evaluate for for toxicity, to evaluate for for toxicity, to evaluate for environmental allergies, food allergies, environmental allergies, food allergies, environmental allergies, food allergies, we test for heavy metals, we test for we test for heavy metals, we test for we test for heavy metals, we test for mineral deficiencies, we test for mineral deficiencies, we test for mineral deficiencies, we test for vitamin deficiencies. And then the best part is is the autonomic response part is is the autonomic response part is is the autonomic response testing, which I'm going to show you testing, which I'm going to show you testing, which I'm going to show you here. So autonomic response testing is a here. So autonomic response testing is a here. So autonomic response testing is a us to be extremely extremely specific on us to be extremely extremely specific on us to be extremely extremely specific on the therapies, supplements, diets that the therapies, supplements, diets that the therapies, supplements, diets that we recommend to our patients. So nothing we recommend to our patients. So nothing we recommend to our patients. So nothing is cookie cutter. Nothing is like, oh, is cookie cutter. Nothing is like, oh, is cookie cutter. Nothing is like, oh, here's the rheumatoid protocol. This is here's the rheumatoid protocol. This is here's the rheumatoid protocol. It's amazing when you're able to know exactly what the person's body to know exactly what the person's body to know exactly what the person's body needs to actually heal. needs to actually heal. needs to actually heal. And with that, it really depends on what And with that, it really depends on what And with that, it really depends on what your goals are. Because if your goal is your goals are. Because if your goal is your goals are. Because if your goal is to get off your painkillers or get off to get off your painkillers or get off to get off your painkillers or get off your imunosuppressant or be able to pick your imunosuppressant or be able to pick your imunosuppressant or be able to pick up your grandkids because you haven't up your grandkids because you haven't up your grandkids because you haven't been able to do that, depending on your been able to do that, depending on your been able to do that, depending on your goals and what you can achieve, it's goals and what you can achieve, it's goals and what you can achieve, it's priceless. And I'm a strong believer in priceless. And I'm a strong believer in priceless. And I'm a strong believer in this because I see amazing things happen this because I see amazing things happen this because I see amazing things happen on a day-to-day basis. And people have on a day-to-day basis. And people have on a day-to-day basis. And people have been suffering for way too long. Way too been suffering for way too long. Uh so when it comes to our onboarding Uh so when it comes to our onboarding Uh so when it comes to our onboarding process, all of those things that I just process, all of those things that I just process, all of those things that I just described, so the autonomic response described, so the autonomic response described, so the autonomic response testing, the heavy metal test, the food testing, the heavy metal test, the food testing, the heavy metal test, the food allergies, the blood work, the um the allergies, the blood work, the um the allergies, the blood work, the um the bioresence scan, the meridian test, the bioresence scan, the meridian test, the bioresence scan, the meridian test, the emotional scan, all of those things are emotional scan, all of those things are emotional scan, all of those things are covered under on our onboarding price. covered under on our onboarding price. covered under on our onboarding price.
